Sorry in advance for formatting error, I'm on mobile.

When there's a free weapon slot with nothing equipped in it, it could use half of the armor value of the character's equipped gauntlets as the weapon value.

Passives could increase damage of Unarmed strikes, while the active abilities would focus on close combat.

If this was a thing I'd 100% create a character based off of this guy.

    This seems like a cool idea, but even if not implemented I would still really like to see a dedicated unarmed skill line. I played an Argonian monk in Morrowind and Oblivion and I miss it dearly. A lot of the classes that were in those games you're able to recreate in ESO except for this one. T-T

    I'd love a hand-to-hand skill line, esp. if it supported effective scaling for both magicka and stamina.

    Stam morphs for the expected kickpunching/martial arts, mage morphs for destruction magic touch attacks/mana-augmented martial arts techniques.

    I would like unarmed would be cool.

    Punch basic attack and a collection of grabs, throws and perhaps single hand based magic.

    The you could hold a sword in one hand and get a sword basic attack and acess to some of the unarmed skills.

    But... i am skeptical of the versitility of the engine to do this.

    Yes, if it worked like it did in Morrowind & Oblivion, where it drained massive amounts of stamina and knocked NPCs down unconscious when they ran out of it.

    They could use the Khajiiti martial arts of Rawlith Khaj, Whispering Claw, and Goutfang for a class like that, those could be the three skill lines. I'd definitely enjoy an unarmed class or skill line.

    I was literally thinking about a hand to hand skill line the other day.... Weird how that works lol....

    There are a lot of weapon skill lines I would like to see them implement. However given their current issues with performance and balance, I don't think we will be getting them anytime soon.

    For each fist. Both gauntlets are a single item, so for a single fist you'd need to halve the armor value. That way, having two fists (by equipping no weapons) would both add up to the armor value of your gauntlets.

    As an additional thought, I think there should be skills for each armor type (e.g. a power punch for heavy armor users that, while consuming stamina, would scale off of max health; an elemental punch for light armor users that scaled off of magicka, and a series of rapid close combat moves for stamina users).

    Personally, in my very uninformed opinion, I don't think it should be a class. Do it like Ledgerdomain or Soul Magic where everyone can use it but it just only applies if you're not wielding anything, and no need to have more than a couple cool moves and some passives. I love unarmed and I'm running a new toon right now with it... but it's not terribly viable, obviously, and I don't think we can reasonably expect that to change. A minor skill line maybe, or even just an armor set for all weights that buffs unarmed damage would be much more reasonable.

    A unarmed weapon skill line would be awesome. It should be viable as a stamina only brawler, magicka based , and also a hybrid. 3 morphs for each skill.

    Various cestus, knuckles, wraps and gauntlets could be used as the weapon slot items.
