Mag class for pve smoothy

Prodiosounds

Soul Shriven
hello, I wanted to know which class is the most suitable to make the content pve without difficulty (leveling and dungeon) knowing that I'm looking for a magicka class and no sorc. (I don't really like his spells)

Moreover the handling of a class does not scare me.

Thank you, and have a good day

Templar would be my suggestion. Brutal DPS and great survivability. Very good variety of skills as well. A lot of fun to play!

Templar is a good class to start with. Magika nightblade is by far my favorite though for pve and pvp

If you have the warden class, it has access to a lot of major and minor buffs just from its class abilities and passives, as well as strong healing. Other classes can definitely achieve these too through potions, guild skills, etc, though, but having them all through your class is easier and makes wardens pretty survivable in pve content.

I would suggest a NB, they have great damage, good sustain, survivability and mobility, they build ultimate fast, plus having cloak makes Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood lines and questing in general a lot easier.

All magicka builds pretty good at pve and soloing stuff. Magicka dragonknight got some buffs recently (You can spam burning embers and solo almost anything. Thats how i soloed all wb back in the days) Templars have nice healing skills, but they lack mobility and hard to manage resources. Magicka nightblades have amazing damage, both single and aoe. Easier resource management and excelent at surviving and they are meta atm. So i say go with nightblade.

If you take sorc off the table, templar is the easiest and nightblade is the strongest for magic classes. Nightblade is a significantly harder class to play effectively.

For a new player to the game I would say templar. Once you have jabs you simply cannot die while questing/leveling, the rotation is simple enough with good single rotation and good aoe rotation. Later for dungeons you can be extremely strong healer and decent at dps with good group support abilities

As for magicka ranged: Either magicka sorcerer or magicka Nightblade. As you rejected magicka sorcerer, magNB is it than. Nice mobility for PvE, awesome dps and nice self-sustain.
Magicka warden is rather behind the two, and magicka templar just loses too much damage by going ranged in comparism with it's melee version.

Magicka melee: MagickaDK and magicka templar belong here. You stated that you wanted to do dungeons, both are good for that. But if you want to do trials in the future I recommend not picking any of these because solid trial groups tend to not invite magicka melee characters. Trial groups have limited slots for melee characters and stamina toons just do so much more dps than magDK or magplar, so by picking any of these two the leader is limiting the group from the start.

Magblade intereste me in terms of spells but a friend told me that the leveling was very complicated before level 40. what do you think?

I don't think there's anything 'complicated' about Magblade leveling. Just make sure you have at least one skill from each skill line present on the bar you're using and when you turn in quests- that way your XP gains go towards leveling all three lines. Your 'sustain' skill is "Siphoning Strikes morphed to Siphoning Attacks" but you don't have access to it until you get the skill line to level 30... so for me getting the Siphon skill line leveled was a priority.

What I love about Magblade is that YOU choose when to fight, and once you get to high CP, the XP gained from kills really is irrelevant- which means I can use Shadowy Disguise to move past mobs when I don't want to fight through every single enemy to get to the end of a delve or quest. When I do fight, I can choose to fight from either melee or range... therefore giving the class a lot of versatility and variety.

As for those suggesting Templar... Templars are also a great all-around class allowing you to range or melee. Unfortunately for me, I found playing a Templar to be quite boring after awhile. It's all JABS...JABS...JABS... after 100+ hours, it gets old real quick.

Mag sorc is very straightforward, easy to learn, and powerful. Pet build is easy to gear. Pets can help "tank" mobs for learning. Id go high elf mag sorc. Also fun class.

    and no sorc.

Then definitly NB. Yes, the class is hard to get the most of, but Funnel Health and Refreshing Path makes it mistakes more forgiving. Plus, they can be played 100% Ranged, which helps a lot to avoid the reds.

I'm biased, so I'd go with magplar. Magblade may be better later on, but I personally feel it's the most difficult class to play.

For my money it’s Magblade 100%. Been playing one for years. I love that it combines healing and dps along with all the utility in the package.

Magblade intereste me in terms of spells but a friend told me that the leveling was very complicated before level 40. what do you think?

I have a magtemplar and a magblade. Those are my 2 characters. I don't think that the magblade was "very complicated" under level 40. They're definitely different from each other.

If you compare a magblade to a templar I do believe that they're more complex simply because the templar can go so far with just the first ability of each class skill line.

As far as leveling up, my templar was the first character I had to hit 50 and get the CPs so it was naturally a little more difficult. I started the NB after I had 350 CPs and it melted everything around it. I can't really give you an accurate comparison, but I think if you understand the mechanics of each one and what makes them survivable, either one is a great choice.
