[Poll] Would you buy casual-oriented trials from the Crown Store?

Edit: I didn't make this poll (and its related counterpart) private for what might be obvious by now. Those who voted what on both polls is very interesting. There's a bit of poll trolling going on, here. I certainly didn't expect better, of course. That's exactly what I expected. Hence the lack of anonymity.

I'd invite anyone interested to do some cross-referencing. It is definitely interesting.

Original Post: We understand that trials take time and effort for ZOS to develop and properly balance for what they want it to be. And any effort to change that would require manpower and resources on the part of ZOS.

If ZOS were to sell versions of trials on the Crown Store where they were rebalanced to scale to the amount of players entering, and had more fo a casual, less stressful feel, would you be willing to buy these casual trial variants from the Crown Store? Thus allowing you to enjoy the content of trials without having to be forced into a large group.

It's a pretty simple idea, so I'll leave it at that.

Would you be willing to buy casual-oriented trial variants from the Crown Store?

No -- I shouldn't have to pay for this, it should be part of the base game.

Not my bag, but I'm sure folks would buy them.....

Nothing wrong with offering variety, but a better way would just be create something that prepares folks not use to running raids for free.

We all know delves and Dungeons docent' actually do that.

Of course! I love things that I can take my time through, enjoying the atmosphere and scenery.

My first time through Veteran Atherian Archive, the Mage at the end had my hands sweating and shaking. The execution phase was the most stressful thing I've ever been through in this game.

casual is the way this game is slowly going because the majority of its consumers are casual players.. so you need to appeal to these people more then the ones that play say 8 hours a day

I haven't voted, because I'm not interested in this type of content. As far as I'm concerned, trials and other veteran content simply doesn't exist.

To be honest, I'm really not interested in Delves and Dungeons either. Even though I can now solo them, I just don't enjoy them and I mostly ignore them (unless a quest takes me there).

I'm really just here for the story and questing :)

We already have casually oriented trials, as OP tends to put it. We already purchase them. This is not needed.

BTW, it is called normal mode trials.

no. but not becasue it should be part of the base game but rather... i just don't honestly see the point, unless they are specifically geared to be done solo - to allow solo casual player to experience the story without having to deal with scheduling issues of getting 12 people together.

if its still group content.. eh...

so... adding completely solo, story modes to all group content I wouldn't say no to if only because I have yet to have a chance to fully experience some of the group dungeons. (I cannot solo all of them, only some)

but charging extra for them.. just feels wrong in the same way charging extra for vet modes for regular content feels wrong. yes yes, game needs to be supported i get that. subscription and charging for chapters (or chapters and DLC's if you chose not to subscribe) as well as completely optional yet still appealing cosmetic goodies - really should cover it just fine. holding content modes hostage is a bit too anti consumer and will push away more people than it will attract.

SWTOR held actual content hostage behind paywalls. its not working out so well for swtor. we REALLY do not want to go down that road.

They could simply remove the player restriction from AA and HRC and you would have your casual trial.

I don't remember if Sanctum has a minimum player requirement, but if there is, I think it's 5 players.

Wow. You started off with Vet for AA? That's pretty impressive!

I do enjoy that trial, but I have mostly run it on normal.

All of the trials are oriented to casuals, with the possible exception of HoF. That's exactly what normal mode is for.

How about if zos released the trials from dlc packs as a stand alone multipack for those who only want group content. Also they could then add a trial pack, a dlc pack, a chapter(which can focus on stories and new skill lines) and dungeon pack each year.

Normal mode can be completed with 10k DPS (you get like 15k just from light attacking this patch). It doesn't get more casual than that. You just need 12 players.

I dont really have an opinion on the sale of a trial but it would be nice if they made a new trial for like 30k dps players like the crags, im still working on perfecting my rotation ( pretty new to trials) and its like i can only do v crags and vas

    Why is there no option:
No, the current trials serve that purpose.
Seriously, all Craglorn trials are extremely puggable. So you got three Casual Oriented Trials ingame already.

i would love to be able to do a 2 man content trial ( or solo run it like its next VMSA) or help couple of friends run trials without been scared of getting kicked or abused.

Other- I can see myself buying *solo* versions of trials, built for difficulty similar to MA/VMA.

Don't have the timetable to run proper raids, but would like to experience the content and get access to special weapons outside VMA.

This would be awesome. They could have their own leader boards as well.

I voted too early, as I didn't read the whole text behind the options. In my vote you can remove everything after the NO. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm also not interested in having it at all.

There really should have been an "other" option or a "no - I don't want it at all"
