• PC/Mac: No maintenance – July 13
The issues on the North American and European PlayStation® megaservers have been resolved at this time. If you continue to experience difficulties at login, please restart your client. Thank you for your patience!
I'm Eso player from Beta. At the old time, I remember that we have more than 7 server Cyrodil and latency is still ok to play. Nowaday , we only have 1 Cyrodil server and it lag like Hell. We need your explanation ZoS
Cyrodiil is less laggy than it had been in years for me after this patch...
What are your computer specs,, which server are you on, where are you located, and how much time do you actually spend in Vivec campaign Cyrodiil? This patch has amplified the lag, disconnects, load screens, and also comes with a ton of new bugs. Thats for me and almost everyone else I play with and talk to in Cyrodiil.
It's been pretty awful these past couple days. Skills won't fire, even spamming them isn't helping, and this isn't just on weekend peak times. My base latency has been roughly 70-130ms higher than average, and the jitter is getting insane.
As a console player with Summerset around the corner, this is disappointing to hear. The way the server runs checks in Cyrodiil was supposed to help reduce the lag.
Might still be a noticeable change for us. Have just a few more days to wait and see.
I never had lag/freezes before the Summerset patch. Tried to play Vivec NA PC tonight and it was a nightmare. Definitely switching to a sneak ranged character until this gets addressed. Battlegrounds and duals seem fine.
Well, since I don't waste my time with Cyrodiil, seeing people in Cyrodiil having a hard time gives me... Some kind of pleasure.
Although I will agree that if there is a lag issue being present, it should be looked in to. If there is one thing that can kill enjoyment in an instant, it would be unbearable laggy gameplay.
I'm seeing less overall lag than I have in quite a long time. The issue now is the random load screen and periodic lag spike.
I've also been around since launch. At the 1 year mark, pvp was almost unplayable. Fighting inside a keep was more like watching a slideshow than playing a game.
At that point I had Verizon Fios internet.
My computer at the time was an i7 3770K overclocked to 5ghz with a GTX980.
PC NA Vivec ...the lag is so bad it is ridiculous.
Ping doesnt always seem to be an indicator of lag. At times ping is normal and the animation lag, skill delay can still be extreme. Other times ping is higher than normal and also there is animation and skill firing lag.
How about some acknowledgment zos? Anything....
Since Summeset an already terrible game performance, especially in Cyrodiil, has become worse.
I recommend for anyone having lag internet connection concerns//issues, by using pingzapper software... i lived in Asia Pacific region and it works for me ...stable connection even during raids (i understand that it is not free..but you can try the trial version)
