Twitch Drops for console

So the impression I’ve got (especially from the last eso live) that the wonderful twitch drops have been a work in progress for some time. I completely understand how the licensing from Xbox & PS4 are quite troublesome but I feel this is yet another sign that console players just don’t quite mean as much to Zos as pc players :(.
As there is no timeframe as to when console players will be able to receive these twitch drops can Zos have a crown crate event for console, like previous eso plus events etc, so we can get access to this exclusive crate until you’ve managed to work out the twitch drops?

Many thanks

Probably won't happen. I think it's also a limitation that ZOS need to work out with Twitch as much as they need to work it out with consoles. Everything is always more PC-friendly because PC is just in general easier to work with

FFXIV, Warframe and DCUO have NO ISSUE working with consoles for promo and DLC. Given the mountain of evidence to the contrary of what you and others often claim, it’s a ZOS issue, not a console one.

Console is paying the same price for this game, yet cannot access the entirety of its offerings, that's neat.
I have some characters, play the game and do stuff. It's fun sometimes.

Technically, we are paying more because we also need to maintain an Xbox Live/PS+ membership to play.

    Totally agree.
Warframe has it implemented since months so it should not be of an big issue to implement it for a game like ESO if even F2P games like Warframe can manage it.
Meanwhile I would also welcome a replacement solution in-game for console players (e.g. double daily rewards on console when Twitch Drops are active for PC)

Anyone remember the twitch drop that happened last month or so where you got a chance to get a crate? I’m glad that wasn’t for console, but as a console player I’m kind of tired of seeing twitch drops mostly only for those with PC while consoles don’t get anything.

cool story then buy a pc since its clearly a backdraw to play on consoles...also last I checked consoles right now are a bit more than a wasteland for ESO compared to PC.

They are useless. You may get up to 1 a day if you are even lucky. They drop 99.9% of the time just poisons, potions and mimic stones. I don't know why anyone on console would care about something so useless.

Warframe does the best devstreams and has the best drop system. I don't think any other game can even come close to it.

Population is definitely at a low point on console. Came back a few weeks ago and Cyrodiil population has decreased dramatically. Main campaign used to be pop locked for all of prime time, now it only stays full for a few hours at most. The *** poor performance across all realms (PvE + PvP) is probably what's to blame tbh. Server performance hasn't been touched on in quite some time. It's sad, really. They can add all the content in the world...but if playing said content is difficult bc of the server limitations, what's the point?

Cool story but the thread isn’t about PvP or PvE.

Most internet providers will not guarantee your ping rate with a console as Console Platform Services throttle the rate. This is done by them to balance the interactions through their gateway.

It is entirely possible and most likely the case that ZOS checks the rate and it is within the contracted rate that the Console Server Providers have agreed to with them. So according to ZOS and the CSP all is working as intended but they do not publish what those perimeters are.

After looking into this more theres absolutely no reason consoles can't get twitch drops since you can link your Xbox One with your Twitch account secondly The Xbox One is just a modified windows 10 machine at this point so there should be little to no limitations in that regard

I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

Even Trion's Defiance 2050 is getting Twitch drops on console.... if anybody knows anything about Trion, well they are literally the single most inept game development studio to ever exist, and yet they can still do it...

No excuses for somebody like ZOS who is connected with Bethesda and has some of the biggest pull and sway in the industry.

Well uhhh... you realize it even says in the article that he refused to release the numbers... and that all are basically equal? Not very good evidence....

It is pretty evident from what happens to our PS4 NA server though that we are in fact overpopulated by a long shot, it has been said before that we do have the most populated server as well, just not in the source you provided. This is largely in part due to Oceanic players who come and destroy our servers with their poor halfway across the world connection.
