Not getting drops other than the Bethesda twitch streams of ESO

So it states that drops are enabled for all twitch streamers of ESO until Tuesday (As long as the broadcaster has it enabled) However I have been on an 8 hour stream which gave me 0 drops...

Can someone please explain how this even works?

You have a chance to receive a drop while watching a stream that has Drops enabled.

You can watch 10 streams and not receive anything or can watch 1 and receive the crate right away.

It's hard to tell how high that chance is exactly. I've received 2 crates after watching Twitch 3 days straight, some people have received around 4, haven't heard from anyone who received more than that.

Well, that's just how it works, there is nothing more to it. Zenimax will never tell us the exact percentage because it's probably around 5% and then people will just stop bothering with it. And they will not tell us the chance of getting that mount or that pet, because it's probably even lower.

You get a chance to get a chance to get some mount.
You only get poisons. Those crates are literally the worst I've seen, at least normal ones drop (somewhat) useful stuff every once in a while.

+1 Didn't get any at all. Watched almost all day. Linked today, so it's strange.

I think this is a brilliant wheeze on ZOS's part. Those who worship the crate have to endure hours upon hours of Twitch streams in order to have a chance of getting a crate. One of those "You couldn't make it up!" moments  !

They are still tweaking and testing the settings, I'm guessing.

Last time, I watched an Alcast stream and Gina said the crate would arrive the next day at 10:00. Then during the official stream, the 4 crates ( got 3/4) arrived immediately during the stream.

Also, Gina said that "watching a few minutes" of a stream was enough to quality for the crate. So maybe watching hours of a stream is a waste of time. No idea if they decided to change this too.

I don't know about that but I haven't gotten any crate so far apart from bethesda's stream lets just hope they look into this because a lot of people including me haven't seen any other crates from other ESO streamers.

Since these are "free" crates they mostly drop poison and potions. You have a small chance of xp scrolls and a smaller chance for mounts but there are no tiers like the regular crates so don't expect costumes and hats etc

No crates after watching around 12 hours straight yesterday.

Will be checking today but if there won't be anything again, I'm out.

Haven't gotten any so far this weekend but I did get a few last week.

I've had multiple streams running all weekend.

Lol I know how you feel, but they need to fix it. If no one gets crates then it will make Zenimax and bethesda look bad.

    "5+ hours"... Casual! :D

But yea if you're looking for some indication that crate rates are super low or maybe even broken. I had multiple active streams going on all day, 15+ hours. So either super bad RNG, I'm doing something wrong, or drops aren't working.

Didn't take much effort on my part though so I'm not to bent out of shape over it. I would feel better about it if I discovered that drops weren't working properly though.

If you are only doing this for the crate chance you are doing it wrong and will likely be very disappointed. Personally I only watch a select few streamers when they are on and I don't feel like playing and some times I listen to the stream while playing the game myself, cause some of these guys have 4 years of ESO behind them and occasionally discuss info I am not aware of. Anyways...

TL;DR - only watch cause you want to watch, not for the crates.

nothing for me as well. granted I wasn't actualy watching, but rather I had streams going in a background, on other tabs, checking every once in a while to make sure stream is still active and replacing it as needed. but so far.. if I didn't already use twitch for other things, this would not endear me to start using it, ZoS. just saying.

If you have the stream muted or paused you dont count as a "viewer", and thus won't receive any crates. This is per Twitch's policies on who counts as a viewer.

Well, as promised, I continued watching today. Also listened to the tip about not muting the streams and to one assumption that viewers have to participate in the chat and stay active.

    Nothing.

The first days I got crates despite streams being muted, now I didn't get anything 3 days straight.

You are not guaranteed a crate that´s why. However, Bethesda´s stream did guarantee a crate.

I have been watching streams since the start of this drop thingy and got 5 crates so far.

Well I thought that too. Or was it a guaranteed "chance" for a drop only?
Made a twitch account, linked it to ESO, linked it to Bethesda. Watched ESO Live Friday. Nada, nothing, null, 0 crates.
Been looking at streams all weekend (muted, but today not muted), and also not a thing.
This one is not impressed, yes?

No need to dedicate hours of viewing unless you like what you are seeing of course. I got 1 crate so far and have not watched more than 20 minutes of a stream. (against my will anyway.)
I do however leave the stream running in the background sometimes and also periodically changing the stream and participating in chat to answer game questions.
No offense to any streamers but I honestly would rather play the game myself, or go outside.
