My 2 cents on the Psijic quest line

I wish instead of having to finish the whole entire quest-line which automatically unlocks level 10 of the skill line, you got the skill line in the beginning and gradually leveled up throughout the quests.

I find it annoying you have to complete ALL the quests to unlock everything at once. It doesn't make it enjoyable being forced to do everything to get nothing in return until the end. I feel that if you got the skill-line unlocked in the beginning and doing quests slowly leveled you up would be more enjoyable. They do that for all the other guild skills like Undaunted, Fighters guild, and Mage Guild.

    Oh honey......

Don't worry. When you get the skill line you aren't at the end. There's a wonderful tour of the entirety of tamriel that awaits you.

Ehhh did you actually do the quest line? I somehow doubt it. :D

You get one level of the psijic skill line per quest you complete.

Lvl 1 for sealing the Alinor breaches.

Lvl 2 for the breaches in the bay area.

Lvl 3 for Skyrim and Stonefalls.

    Etc.

I've done it 3 times now.

Honestly the whole thing is fine. Its chill. Simple and only takes a couple of hours to get from 2 to 10. If you including the summerset part and the delve then its maybe 4 hours a most. I did my magicka DK this morning. Hell at this point I know the location of every portal and everything else too the point where i shaved off an hour from one of my previous playthroughs.

I really dont understand the gripe here, really its extremely short in comparison to dark brotherhood and thieves guild. Especially considering that those skill lines take far longer depending on how kind the loading screens are too you.

Really its better than any of the other skill lines.
Ah, e-communities - the "pinnacle" of the internet............yeah, right.

Ive spent a good 2 hours and so far haven't gotten the skill-line yet. and i have been speeding through the quests.

My assumptions based on what I have heard was that you unlock everything at once, not per quest... is that not true?

I was told it takes like 10 hours before you complete it.

That is not true. You start at level 1 with a passive when you join them (after closing rifts in Summerset), then level up to 2 after closing the rifts in Iliac Bay (Glenumbra+Stormhaven+Alik'r) and gain access to the Time Stop skill, etc.

Maybe if you don't look at your skills page it might seem like it's unfair and it only unlocks at the end, but you'd have to be a very special kind of person for that.

It sounds like you're doing the wrong quests. You get to the psijic island (whatever it's name) pretty early in the main quest line of summerset. There you have to talk to a different NPC not related to the main story to start the psijic quest line (he will have a quest available, so you won't miss him). Then with each quest you complete in that quest line, your psijic order skill level increases by 1, with the completion of the first quest unlocking the skill line.

It's easy compared to others ~ 5 hours to max.

If you think that is too long, then do the Undaunted and Mages guild first !!

LOL what!!?? who told you this?

It take at most 3 hours from start to finish to run from place to place and gather the items or close the rifts.

There are plenty of guides on line if you need one. A simple google search will provide it.

You were mislead. The main quest should take around 10 hours (though, that's being a little optimistic, on your speed.) The Psijic skill line actually goes pretty fast. The only way you'd end up with a 10 hour Psijic playthrough is if you're the kind of person that gets lost for six hours on the way to the store to get groceries. There's been a lot of hyperbolic tantrums about the amount of grinding involved in Summerset, it looks like you've probably run across some of that, without realizing it.
