Disappointed with the Summerset Introduction

I'm really enjoying what I have explored in Summerset so far so please take that with a grain of salt, however, I was really disappointed that there was no IN GAME introduction that walks you through a quest leading to Summerset. This is the first time in the game that I felt like the introduction was lazy. This is the first time that I had to go to collections to kickstart the quest. It is very unfortunate that they are not working the starter tutorial quests in with old players as well. I found it unfortunate that Firemoth island in the Vvardenfell Chapter was not something that old players could experience. I find it even more unfortunate that they repeated this error with Summerset. Why go to the trouble of making new and interesting introductions if we can not experience it? Players who have filled all their character slots are out of luck. There is a part of me that wishes we could have more character slots but even more I would rather simply being able to run all of the quests on all characters. So this is my personal suggestion to ZoS that they reconsider this in future Chapters, and possibly consider this for past ones. It would not have been hard to allow the Vestige to crash on Firemoth island or whatever it is that new characters do on Summerset. At least give us the choice ZoS.

I told zos that the tutorial is the best intro for summerset,they refused to integrate it for the skillpoint and the nice blend into the story

I would like to have a “Live another life” tutorial where my new characters can choose how to start their adventures.

Damn I haven't started the chapters yet but I was expecting the intros would be playable for existing characters..

Yeah, I've got to give you that, integrating the Live Another Life mods would be a nice fit for ESO moving forward.

ZOS PLEASE enable these intro quests: Summerset and Morrowind for existing characters!!! Why would you take away the RP in mmo"RP"g? You're wasting your own effort by not doing this!

I love the nerd rage icon (actually the perk is pretty cool too, once you've gotten all other more useful ones).

I was surprised at how difficult it was to find what to do in Summerset. I used the wayshrine to get there, but then I just wandered around Alinor for a bit. Still havent started the main quest - but that's partly because I got distracted and went back to the main land.

But where's the person in every city with an urgent message telling you to go there?

The ‘in game’ intro quest starts in the Mages Guild of your factions first zone (Glenumbra, Stonefalls and Auridon). Vanus Galerian should appear there with a message for you.

(They should make this quest more obvious to the player though as most players would have no idea (or reason) to look there for it.)

It would have been great if new characters in Summerset could have been captured by slavers to experience the Morrowind introduction like what they did with the hooded figure that starts the main questline, but I suppose that could still be added if ZOS wished.

I'm glad they didn't add the 'tutorial' as the intro... has anyone else done this? It's the worst 'quest' experience ever in ESO IMO. You're stuck in a psychedelic area where you just go from point A to point B with nothing really to enjoy or have fun with. At least the Morrowind tutorial was fun and you got to meet Naryu and explore a bit of Vvardenfell... but in Summerset intro it was just a quick, psychedelic trip... and you're done.

As far as people complaining about skill point... ONCE AGAIN... this point is ONLY available to new Summerset characters... so it's not like people are continuously gaining extra points. The most a new player will ever have over vet (pre-Morrowind) characters is ONE skill point... big deal! People really need to learn to pick their battles and stop being so OCD over a single skill point.

It sucks as a tutorial too. Doesn’t teach you to sneak. Doesn’t teach you about lockpicking. No mention of Skyshards.

Nope, no sneaking.

It does teach one thing that the other tutorials don’t, and that’s zooming in/out with your camera.

But yeah, you would think a cheklist to make sure all the tutorials teach the same basics would be a must.

I just wanted the old intro back... is it too much to ask for a coherent storyline..

That's your opinion but it is better to give the option to rest of us who want to do that quest. And those people like you can skip the quest instead.
