So, with the advent of Perfect Vestment of Olorime. SPC = dead?

SPC is easier to keep on.
VOO can be applied to 12 people.
    so
    SPC - 4 man dungeons.
    VOO - trials.

    but...
Me main will use VOO everywhere, because of visual effects. (templarish gold)
I HATE PURPLE SPC EFFECT WE HAVE AFTER HOMESTEAD

Are u sure the buff can apply to the whole raid group? Did anybody test this?

Has been tested. Has 12 player Cap so good to go. Healer can proc the circle every 10 seconds with (standard Templar) Healing Spring, blockade, Spears, combat prayer, ritual and Nova.
ONLY difficulty with this set, is making sure every 10 secs you proc it where you want!

Considering I do heal pugs often and more times than not I have to chase people down that are running away from my heals....I believe I will continue using SPC in most cases. However, Olorime should be really good in trials and organized groups. It's nice to see another good set option for healers finally. :)

id still rather use spc in some situations over this

Doesn't SPC have a shorter buff time ?

Yes but it procs all the time as overhealing is the norm

i never stop healing so i have an uptime of almost 100% on everyone(minus the people who run away) plus you have to deal with who isnt gonna know what that circle actually means thats why i said in some situations ill still use spc.

Yes, but in harder content not everyone is always "tagging 100% HP" to even have the 50% chance to get the buff.

if you have hots of like mad no one ever drops below 80% for more than a second. it really depends on your healer. but in some instances like dungeons(or god help me pugs if no ones on) those people will probly not know what that circle means at all or even run from it thinking its an enemy aoe. but in trials yea this set once your get it is bis but its with smart people. but since itll last for 30 seconds we can finally roll one healer holding it while another rolls something else.

I mean, if you're doing vet trials people aren't consistently sitting at 100% HP to get the 10s major courage buff.

Being able to apply Major Courage regardless of their HP, with any ground based skill you use, will be much easier and it lasts longer (30s).

Yeah... I am just waiting for it to auto refresh in dumb places because of extended ritual or extended path or something.

Yesterday needs people to actually walk into. We are still having people complain about people using synergies yet we think this will work? Not only that some fights are too mobile. Still I like them both.

It was answered above, but in Summerset, no - SPC was changed to also give Major Courage so both sets provide the same buff, ergo no stacking.

Vestments will be better for stationary tank and spank fights where the group is nearly hard-stacked. The Serpent in vSO comes to mind.

SPC will be better for mobile fights where the group is spread out. The Twins in vMol and The Celestial Mage come to mind as examples of that.

Interesting cases will be in trials and fights were the paradigm changes. Against The Warrior in vHRC Vestments could be best for the first phase, but once everyone has to honeycomb soft-stack around him in the second phase, would not SPC be better? Yokeda Kai would probably require SPC, but groups using the "rock method" on Ra Kotu could benefit from Vestments, and that's all in the same trial.

tl;dr: Both sets are situationally appropriate, meaning that having both will be required for healers.

In other words, SPC is not dead, but you still have to farm Vestments and have it on you as a healer.

    ^this

Not sure why there is so much confusion on this set. It is better than Spell Power Cure (for the Aussies that don't like the acronym) in almost all content, as long as the group is within 28?meters (healing springs/shards) of the healer

Have anyone actually tested this or are people just talking out their butts? Its like when people thought Jorvuld's Guidance would be king but them people actually tested it and it really didn't outperform Mending so now no one cares. If it's just a set that's best for specific situations, like Gossamer, then I doubt any more than a few people will even bother with it and the idea that groups outside of snobby, end game-gatekeeping guilds would expect healers to have it is pretty laughable.

to me its more viable for a dd to apply it as it can, as a healer only has 1 ground and can only place it 1 at a time, dd's can do more than 1, unless they force healers to go high breed, so no healer build a dd/healer, because if you AS you need to move, most boss fights u can stand still, but then again spc is not a granted buff, i get it very rarely in trails as my health is very rarely at 100%, as friend of mine record a vet hm trails on last boss and worked out the % for spc was realy around 5-10%

I've never seen an MMO where you didn't have to buy the expansion to stay relevant. That's like not buying Battle for Azeroth and expecting to be relevant in World of Warcraft when it releases. Or not buying stormblood when it came out for FFXIV.

    It's usually the case.
