One morph of agony was useful in one part of the game (pvp only) for just one thing: lining up meteor burst.

Malevolent offering is useful to all nightblade healers for both pvp and pve.

    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

They could keep the most useful morph of MO and bring back Prolonged Suffering.
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

NB healers hardly exist lmao and i doubt a healer would use that skill.

They do exist and most will use that skill. 18k tooltip heal plus minor mending and 3 percent healing done just for slotting it.

The reduced cost morph is lackluster, since if you arent building for healing done, the heal will not be very attractive to you and your hots will generally be weak. And if your hots are weak, you will not be able to safely manage the oblivion dot. If your hots are strong (NB healer hots are very) then you are likely built with healing done in mind, which means the you will get far more out of minor mending and the oblivion dot is a non factor at that point. Reduced cost morph could be turned back into a crappy stun for all i care.

Hard, long term CCs never worked in eso. These type of CC spells always suggested they were designed to remove a target from a pull in pve but break on damage (similard to popular skills like polymorph or sap in wow) but failed miserably because no pve content really asked or demanded that of a group since most trash pulls or multi target encounters are simply aoed down or the tank just rotates taunts and pvp wise, CC freedom is not bound to a hard CD like other mmos with similar skills in question (ie trinket) so there was no dynamic that revolved around strategically throwing a skill like agony on someone to setup a scenario where they have to make a judgement call on whether or not to sit in it or break free. You simply break free, or get damaged out of agony and get CC immunity and if the target is out of stamina, a hard short term CC that doesnt break from damage is FAR more lethal.

Agony was the only long term CC catagory spell in the game that didnt really have a secondary strength to help it in pvp since this catagory of stun was always extra long on pve mobs, fossilize hit a targets stamina hard due to the root after and rune had a long term defensive trigger. Zos has since shifting away and phased out this type of CC as it was not really compatible with the game, it was very clear this catagory if CC was conceived with a different eso in mind. Agony needed to be changed, and the devs likely felt with fear, cripple, conceal stun and incap in their kit, agony, which was used RARELY for a very specific niche was a bit redundant, and a magicka healing skill to help NB healers deal with burst damage was lacking, the decision was likely a very easy one for them to make.

Way back in the day, i was always annoyed that the dot component of the skilll was so paltry, and felt the key to a (still unrepresented archetype) strong damage over time kiting oriented ranged mage was the strength of agony, cripple and path. I would suggest agony be THE magnb dot, unpurgable or apply major defile when purged (similar in philosphy to fossilize forcing a break free AND roll) so agony dot could place pressure on the recipients magicka pool or health if they decide to purge when agony is ticking or let it run.

I could care less about useless stars. Bringing malefic wreath back a skill that was actually used seems more beneficial.

Stars don't mean squat to in game skill, these 1 person (unless solo, which this doesn't do) heals are short sighted and low use, now, if it was a health based smart group HoT, then yeah, it could be good. (Like having blood spurt out of you and hit your team healing)

Honestly though, they need to attach buffs to make these things worth it. Until then, NB healers will be a "thing," but incredibly gimped.

Yeah nb healers are a thing and single target burst heals are very good, whether its bol, matriarch, cauterize etc. Offering having minor mending attached to it is plenty. Nb healers are anything but gimped

Agony is useless while people are able to break out of it. It was only good before they added break free, and as a healer I like offering.

i have 2 magblades (one healer focused one utility focused) and both have it slotted. tho this may change if the heal cant target yourself now or at least in pvp anyways
