What is a good build to match with a pet sorc? or general duo strategies?

My wife is playing as a 2 Pet sorc and just got to cp 160. It's mostly been me carrying her, but now that she can wear and farm real gear, I'd like to set up a proper duo in terms of buffs, debuffs and roles. Currently our buffs and debuffs don't actually help each other.

I main a Khajiit stamblade, but also have a Redguard DK, Argonian Templar, Dark Elf Sorc, Brenton Sorc and a Dark Elf Warden. Is there a clear best/ worst choice here? Any particular design in terms of the pair? I'm at max cp, but have very little group experience.

about which content do we talk here? pve or pvp? depending on that we can give you much better advice.
for pve, there you can fir very well as a damage dealer like your khajiit nightblade, especially when she plays with the summoned clanfear and not with the skamp, since the clanfear can tank. with the twilight matriarch, she is also able to heal quite a bit, so the complete your duo a damage dealer would be very nice.
for pvp maybe a tanky dk could be perfect. you could stand in the front and absorb some damage, while she stands in the back with good damage and healing.

It's for PVE. I tried to get her to play street fighter one time. I showed her the buttons and while she tested what they did, she hit my character. First she looked unhappy and then apologized. I think this duo needs to stick with PVE.

It's interesting that you suggest the clanfear/ matriarch. I kept wondering if it would be better to let the pets do damage, but you are probably right. So if my role is strictly DD, would it make sense to stick with the stamblade, go magblade even with the Khajiit? As a stamblade, I'm having a hard time lining up buffs/debuffs. I get a mag regen buff from her, but I don't have any mag skills sloted. I also debuff with major fracture and I suspect an elemental debuff would do more. Would it make more sense to go firemage with the dark elf sorc?

I suppose a mag sorc and magplar could help each other together, the sorc giving minor prophecy and minor intellect with empowered ward to both of you and the magplar giving minor sorcery to both as well.

Even a Stam warden could provide healing, and with all those pets most overland content would be trivial.

I would look to a tankier build with CC to compliment your pet sorc. Pet sorcs are going to be really strong for damage, especially AOE damage, and they also have great self heals and potentially a group burst heal if you run the twilight matriarch (really no reason not to). What they are generally going to lack is Crowd Control, and access to useful group buffs. That is what I would look to add to compliment her sorc. That doesnt mean you cant spec for a little damage, but a DPS oriented sorc paired with a tankier buff/CC oriented character will be able to 2 man just about anything that can be 2 manned. If you want to get into groupfinder, the queue goes WAY faster if one of you can queue as a tank.

The DK or Warden are probably your best bet here. DK makes a better pure tank in my mind, but a warden has better access to buffs.

We managed to get to the last boss in normal dsa with her in blue gear from 20 levels earlier, so I’m hoping to clear some harder things when we are in sync and she has better feel for the game.

It sounds like I should give all these a try and the pets are easy to switch back and forth.

Roughly, how would I go about setting up the dk? He’s a redguard, but with blocking the stamina bonus isn’t wasted even going mag. I’d still need to do some of the damage.

Not sure on BiS for this. I duo normal group dungeons quite a bit with the same partner. We have enough chars to make several types of pairs and find pet sorc + magplar to be our fave pairing for that type of content.
