Most and least favorite motif styles

Thanks to the event, I was able to complete virtually all crafting motifs (Grim Harlequin and Frostcaster missing) and spent some time at the outfitting station (another wonderful addition) checking out the ones I'd never paid any attention to. Which do you like most and least?

I pretty much only play dark elf stamblades (I have one dark elf token magblade that I only play during events) so my opinions are heavily weighted towards medium armor "assassin" looks...

My faves:
Draugr - my crafter is actually a nord nightblade and the medium draugr set looks fantastic. Skyrim redux!
Assassin's League - a mix of heavy and light makes a nice looking set. The heavy shoulders are some of my favorites in the game.
Ebonshadow - One of the more unique designs out there as it doesn't look like the standard TG/DB/Outlaw styles. One of my favorites in the game once I get the colors right.
Hlaalu - it's a bit too bulky for medium but the helm rocks enough to make up for it. Using light chest and shoulders helps a lot. Morrowind redux!
Minotaur - the heavy set with metallic colors looks fantastic. Especially that helm! If I played a DK tank, I'd be rocking heavy Mino style with a medium chest (harness) and look like that huge guy from Dragon Age Inquisition.
Outlaw - one of my faves and easy to get. I wish there was a version without the TG logo on it but I still like it.
Worm Cult - WOW! Love it. All versions (Light, Med, Heavy) look fantastic. My one mag character is hooked up in a gold and blue light set and the gold tentacle/horn/leg things on the chest really stand out. Well done designers!
Xivikin - An oldie but first time I've had all motifs...love the look.

Disappointing:
All three PVP sets, EP, DC, and AD - meh...bland and too bulky looking, even in medium.
Morag Tong - I love the shape and styling but it looks too metallic and less chitinous than I would have liked. I'm still using it on one guy though.
Buoyant Armiger - UGH! That is hideous and the fact that it's one of the most expensive motifs in the game makes it worse. I am VERY lucky that I pulled 12 of 14 of these and could trade for the other two. Paying gold for these would be a crime.
Ebony - the designers mailed the medium in on this one. Full plate medium? Too big, too bulky, too metallic.
Dro'm-Athra - lol...really? I guess they needed something to appeal to 12 year old anime fans. :)
Wrothgar sets - all three (Ancient Orc, Malacath, and Trinimac) are similar and boring. Trinimac heavy is OK but still nothing that makes me say "I want to wear that" even on an orc.
Akaviri - maybe I just don't know enough about the lore of Akavir (snake people? monkey people? tiger people?) but the Shogun look doesn't work for me and seems really out of place.
Silken Ring - I'm probably missing the lore again but THAT armor doesn't look like anything remotely related to Crypt of Shadows. I admit, I was one-and-done with vCOS - got my velidreth helm and was out - but I'm sure glad I didn't grind it for this motif.

De gustibus non est disputandum (In matters of taste, there can be no disputes) -- but I'd still like to hear others' opinions!

Favorite: Trinimac light robe before ZOS decided that the stupid wings needed to be on the chest piece.

Least Favorite: Trinimac light robe. Who the heck decided the stupid wings needed to be on a perfectly good chest piece instead of the easily replaced shoulders?

I just use the ones with the tightest pants.

Which ones would those be? All the pants I've tried have been baggy or bulky, so I just stick to wearing robes.

    lol. I'd have to check.

In the meantime, I can highly recommend the 'Loose fitting trousers' that you find in baskets.
Assuming that looks are the priority here...they aint so loose.

like grim harlequin, outlaw, and tsaesci.

dislike anything with hip flaps or huge shoulders.

i'm very thankful we can use the outfit system to avoid some of that, finally.

Most: dremora because of the detail on it and the helms look badass, even on light which is important for me as a sorc addict. The shoulders are fantastic, even the belt looks cool. The shield is great and has a lot of detail and the weapons ain't too bad either. It one upped xivkyn just like xivkyn one upped daedric yet didn't completely take it's place. Definitely a great choice if you are making a warlock or daedra themed character. Hell, even other classes can benefit from it because the pieces are so good.

Least: argonian motif from base game. Was gonna put soul shriven here because the armour is the most basic you can get but the axes at least look like scythes and the mace has spikes on it which is cool. Can't really find anything redeeming for the argonian style, even the weapons are just very basic which i guess is done on purpose. I guess some of the pieces like the light hood could be useful if you are making a shaman and have nothing else but outside of that i can't really see why you would use this outside of RP.

I think these two sets show how far ZoS have come in the design department. One set is very basic and the other is a prime example on how to do well detailed armour. The jump in quality from old motifs to newer one's is blatant when comparing these two sets.
