Logon asks for access code (PC EU)

I am on DSL, which means my IP-address changes quite frequently. It can change multiple times per day. ESO has never asked me to type in an access code on logon, but for the past two days. It's ostensibly because of my changed IP-address, but that is nothing new.

Does anyone know whether ZOS have changed anything in this regard? What are the exact rules? Is ESO able to work out whether an IP-address from the same ISP being used, and therefore not ask for an access code? In that case, perhaps my ISP has started using an additional IP-range.

I'm not sure why this security measure should be necessary for the game client. I can understand it when logging on to the account at the ESO web-site, as personal information could be accessed there.
PC EU (EP): Magicka NB (main), Stamina NB, Stamina DK, Stamina Sorcerer, Magicka Warden, Magicka Templar, Stamina Templar
PC NA (EP): Magicka NB

it also checks hardware configuration, and if that changes will prompt (so like logging in from another computer in your house)

so youd rather they loosened security than you got your internet connection fixed? IP changing multiple times per day means you are dropping out.
