PC Summerset loading tips and thoughts

I started in the land of Summerset on 4/26/18 after facing an issue I had with Morrowind.

I could get my wonderfully reliable laptop through the grueling 3 day download process (and this includes trying it from a dvd and from online) and I could get to the login screen, but as the game would prepare to load and let me select server or make a character or even begin the game itself, it would timeout eventually on the loading screen while the logo spun in the lower right hand corner.

After much frustration and time, I gave up eventually. I figured I would explore the land of Tamriel Unlimited and Morrowind when it came out for PS4. It would take another year for that to happen as I have the gold Edition of Tamriel on my PS4. See Timplefockers username.

I was invited to the Beta for Summerset; I decided to try again. I went through the grueling 3 day download process again. This would repeat for the PTS server to download. I got excited that the logo appeared on my desktop. I double clicked on it in anticipation and logged in and everything was going well when I hit the brick wall. I ran into the Neverending spinning logo about to return me to a login torture cycle over and again until I give up.

But I tried multiple things I read over and over again. Too many sources. Here is what helped me get it going:

Step 1: Open the Launcher. Click on Game Options. Click on Repair. Let it verify all game files installed correctly. It will fix any that didn't.
Now, close the launcher and right click on its logo on your desktop. Click on Properties. Click on Compatibility. Click the box in front of "Run this program as an administrator" to check the box. Click on Apply. Click on ok.

Step 2: Go to your computer (My computer or This PC.) Click start and type in my computer and double click whichever title yours is under that pops up.
Go to the C drive.

Step 3: Go to Program Files x86. Go to Zenimax Online ...Go to The Elder Scrolls Online.... Go to Game..... Go to Client .....and from here see the search box .....next to the files location (name)
type in the search box eso.exe and click enter.
There will be 3 files that appear in the search results. Repeat the steps that you did with the launchers logo on your desktop.

Step 4: Right click on all three files one at a time.
Click on Properties.
Click on Compatibility.
Click the box in front of "Run this program as an administrator" Click apply. Click ok. (Do these things for all 3 files)
Restart your computer and try to load the PC version of the Elder Scrolls now.

This helped me with an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop with Windows 10.

Summerset...
What a beautiful place thus far! I am enjoying the scenery more than when I usually get into this game on another platform. I cannot wait to see it in all platforms. I love collecting things from dangerous places right from the start and how the story and sides are sort of talking together for a moment. I found what I needed to do to join the new order but it took me a few minutes to understand WHERE my hints where appearing for what I was looking for, even with a map. (After I had collected what I supposed to find to use that wasn't really hidden at all)
Oh! I see it! Duh...I found it.
More exploring and sea treasures destroyed as I wander around trying looking for my Airbender.
I've captured a few videos and screenshots and cannot wait for the NDA lift so we can share all these wonderful newness.
~Hope the tip helped someone.
