Fun idea... mechanical acuity for tanking

Just musing over oddball / off-meta possibilities in regards to the summerset changes, and the thought crossed my mind that mechanical acuity might actually work well as a tanking set for sorceror tanks. General hybrid stat boosts arent bad for tanking, and the 5 piece combined with crit surge / power surge and hurricane/boundless storm gives you 5 seconds of heavy burst healing for 5 seconds out of every 18. Of course, there's no control over when that healing goes off, but it should proc pretty much on cooldown if you've got blockade/liquid lightning/boundless storm going.

Gonna try this out in the pts, sounds quite good for self sustain. Maybe pair it with fortified?

Funny thing - with 2 hands weapons you can control MA crit proc due to one bonus from one piece of weapon (lets say 1H&S front, destro back). In Summerset you can't, cuz 2 hand will grant 2 bonuses, so both bars will gives you 2 bony. Only if not sloting just a one sword on the bar...

Anyway, you can get around 80%+ crit chance with Khajiit and some heavy crit chance sets. And mathematical you need only 50% crit chance and two dots in order to proc surge heals 100% of the time (it could be just Hurricane and light attacks).

And yet it's just meh comparing to DK Green Dragon Blood, which can heal like 40K hp in one cast...

You could use it together with a set, that also only needs to be active on one bar. Torugs pact, alkosh or akavir dragonguard would fit in there. Therefore running msa sword and shield on one bar would be possible.

You can still control the proc, you just have to use 3 armor and your backbar weapon only for the MA set, and have a different set on your front bar weapon.

Also, no tank is going to have 50% crit chance =P
