Why does uploading images to the forum not properly work?

So in theory you can upload images via drag and drop or via third party services like imgur.com. In reality drag and drop basically never works and most external links can't be properly embedded.

I can never seem to load images from my OneDrive account. I've tried the tool (which doesn't form the URL in the post) and manually adding it, but a preview doesn't load the image.
All I wanted to do was show off my characters.

Click Copy on Direct Link
Go to forums, click the image icon
Paste image url into the box

get the sharable link from google photos after you upload it then do a web search in the link above to get the imbed code. copy the direct link address and then copy it to your post
then in front of the copied link type img in these brackets [ ]
and after the link type /img in the same brackets [ ]

I couldn't upload via the "add image" thingy but if you simply put the link between [img][/img] it works! At least it worked for me !1
