Arctic wind skill. Warden

I understand that to raise the strength of this and so not too much skill at 1% is the best joke you can think of. As for a tank for a more comfortable game, he needs more heal from this skill. I propose to do it at least 15-20%. Well, seriously, looking at the Nb, he changed the skill of invisibility and gave about 34% !! for 3 seconds + minor proteciton. This is about 11% per second for one caste. Not too much? Even dk heals on 33% of the missing health, and the sorcerer 35% of his clanfir. Think of at least once about PVE and not PVP, I want to feel this class is more flexible and enjoyable

    Thing is, the skills from dk and nb you mentioned heal instantly... Arctic Wind heals over time...

    Artic wind heal over time is 700 health on a standard build and it's halfed in pvp.


    20-25% initial heal, and up to 4% heal over time would make this skill useful for what it costs

    And it was a giant middle finger to wardens on the PTS when they increased it to 12% initial heal + 10% over time. A whopping 2% increase.

    IMO it should be 20% initial heal + 10% over 10 seconds.

    ZOS trying not to rial up those P2Whiners by making Warden have a worse Tank Heal than other classes. It's so sad.

    I do think the heal could be improved and the Morphs too if we're being perfectly honest because both are fairly lackluster.

    To be fair, the damage it does isn't too bad.

    Iirc, it's 4% of your max health every 2 seconds. On a 40k health tank, that's only 800 dps (bout half what you would see with elemental blockade). A magden will only get about 400 dps out of it.

    The damage morph is only used to apply chilled.

    On a 40k health tank in pve it's a super strong heal already. The extra 2% is irrelevant.

    Should have added something else so that it get's use outside of it's only current use.

    My warden sits at 37k health. The initial heal from arctic wind is roughly 5.5k, or around 8-9k crit heal. On pts with the boost to 12% initial, it's around a 6.5k initial heal and 10-11k crit.

    For comparison, my 32k health dragonknight tank, at 20% health, gets a 12-13k heal from dragon blood, and I've had it heal for up to 28k crit with major mending and minor vitality up.

    The new dark cloak heal for my nightblade tank, at 34k health, hits for around 6-7k non crit, 3 times over 3 seconds, for a total of around 18-20k.

    Clannfear on a sorc tank with 35k health nets an instant 18k heal and up to around 27k crit.

    Arctic wind is weaker than any other tank self heal.

    Just lower the dmg of the morph and give more healing. Nobody is using a ice Warden with max health to fight, becouse it won't kill people.


    Also, the Crystalized Slab morph could use some more dmg to be competitive with shimmering shield

    So you say nobody uses the tanking skills for damage, then ask for more damage on a tanking skill -_-

    Arctic Blast (the damage morph) is used less for the damage and more for the chilled status effect proc. Right now it's 4% of your max health as damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, so even on a 40k health tank it's only dealing 1600 damage every 2 seconds.

    I dont agree with reducing the damage because, despite being low output, tanks need to be able to solo too - they're not spenidng 100% of their time in trials.

    The healing needs to be upped to 20% initial + 10% over 10 seconds to be competetive with the other tank emergency heals (33% for dragonblood, 33% for dark cloak, 35% for clannfear, this would put the warden's at 30%, which is still too low but IMO a little more acceptable).

    Crystallized slab should be made more like reflective plate, simply reflecting the projectile rather than shooting off an unrelated ice spike after a projectile is absorbed. A DK can reflect 120% damage, a warden reflects nothing.

    On the other hand, I'd actually prefer crystallized slab to be changed to an actual damage shield and absorb all damage, not just projectiles, which would make it more useful for tanking.

    Crystalized slab can be used for tanking, but it's not a tanking skill. It's like saying dampen is used for tanking, it's a shield.
