I don't buy any motifs from the crown store whether they are obtainable in game or not.

I agree with the OP, I don't mind full books in crown crates but single pages? That's awful. Not only does it dilute the drop rate for things you want, but it also increases the amount of crates you need to buy to get a full set. This is really greedy and thinly-veiled cash grab and really should not be introduced. I'm sure the reason they put full books in them was because they didn't think people would buy many crates for the full style, then realized they can do whatever they want to and people will keep buying the crates and more now that it drops individual pages.

Single pages is an awful idea. If they are able to be traded with other players, that would make it a bit easier to handle. Duplicates could be traded for needed pages. However, since that basically allows you to sell them for gold, I'd guess they are bound.

So at best, you can break down duplicate pages for 1/3rd of the gems it would take to buy a page you still need, assuming you can buy them for gems to begin with. Even IF this is the case, say goodbye to that motif forever once the crate season rotates out. You will probably never get them if you didn't get them for the limited time they were available.

I'm just not seeing how this implementation is good for anyone. You'll be drowning in duplicates before you get a full book. At least other motif page dupes can be traded, but this would just make people sick. There's not even a guarantee that each page drops with equal frequency. Maybe chests have a 0.01% drop rate. ZOS is under no obligation to ever tell us if the drop rates are weighted. That would be some shady, shifty, stuff if you ask me.

This motif being exclusive to the crates is what appalls me. If there was an additional way to acquire this style, I wouldn't care if it was in crates as well.

I hope this is purely testing purposes by ZOS. But as I had said before another highly unappealing pricing decision was discovered: "Prepare to be disappointed."

They're going to try all kinds of *** moves to see what sticks. If people don't complain. if sales go well. Guess what it's sticking. Some of you argue against the arguer to defend the companies decision: Why? It's a greasy move. ZOS isn't hurting. This isn't a last ditch effort to inspire customer purchase to save a dying project. ESO is on the up not the down. The customer should see more coming his way not pinched again to spend more money. To increase gambling. If I wanted to be a scumbag gambler I'd chose any number of Korean MMOs that do it a lot better than ESO. The Crown Store is absolutely disgusting and its getting worse.

If I can pay a reasonable price of individual pages it's just convenient.

People need to stop buying this stuff. It's that simple.

A ton of people bought the previous crown store motifs. So now ZOS feels they can get away with even putting them in crates (and of course, people will line up to buy them again). People need to speak with their wallets, which they overwhelmingly have not done yet.
