? Summerset - Jewelry crafting - Query

I cannot get into PTS to try thngs for myself - still (re) downloading.

My question relates to Jewelry Crafting Base Materials as at; https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/26357

The article states;

Based on both your Engraver passive level and character level, you are able to harvest different types of Dust:

• Levels 1-25 Pewter
• Levels 26-50 Copper
• Champion Level 10-60 Silver
• Champion Level 70-140 Electrum
• Champion Level 150-160 Platinum

My questions;

Does this mean that my level 50+ crafter with all crafting, bar jewelry, at 50 will not be able to gather low level materials to use in low level jewelry crafting?

If this is the case and I gather mats on lower level alts which also have low crafting levels will they out level gathering?

Or, to put it another way, once a character can harvest Copper will they no longer be able to harvest Pewter and so on?

I know the questions may appear silly but without testing for myself, I would like some clarity on the matter. Any help would be nice. Cheers

I was getting a mix of mats based the level of my character, and my level in crafting.

My Character was CP160 while my crafting skill line level was Silver, and I was finding Silver and Platinum nodes.

So as you level each crafting skill line the nodes get higher in level, and as you level the actual character that also raises the node levels.

I am pretty sure that all crafting mat nodes are this way.

As with any kind of crafting resources, max level and max crafter chars won't be able to gather low level mats. They will only get them from daily writ rewards.
So, if you wish to gather low level mats, you need a char that won't have any the Engraver passive skilled beyond your desired level and shouldn't be at max level either.

Thanks for the replies they confirm what I thought.

Kind of a kick in the teeth for anyone with levelled characters. Suppose we will have to buy new character slots just to get lower level mats. It's as if ZOS ... I see what tehy did there.

Can't even use alt account as I'm not buying Summerset for it - spend enough on main account already. Oh well!

EDIT: I was on my way to bed after initial writing of this post when I realised my error about not being able to get mats with my alt account! My bad! I would have rectified the error earlier but I just woke up.

From what I remember, with all crafting nodes you get materials for the level you are about half the time, and the other half you get materials for the max level you can craft in that skill line. So on characters I don't craft with, I was getting ruby ash logs AND maple logs. I think jewelry will be similar.
