Tells me "Login failed. Your username or password may be incorrect or inactive at this time. If you purchased the game through steam, please start the game via the steam client to login."
I've gotten that code sent to me, tells me it applies it automatically. And i tried it manually but it gives me an error when i do, so assume it's used already?
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Ah now I get how what you mean, sorry. Yeah it just gives me that text i wrote up there "Login failed. Your username or password may be incorrect or inactive at this time. If you purchased the game through steam, please start the game via the steam client to login." when I try to log in on the ingame login screen.
