BUG: Sound stops working on launch (Summerset)

All audio stops working (including music from Youtube) when launching the game. In this case, I am using my TV sound, with PC connected via HDMI through my Nvidia GTX 1080Ti.
To fix, I have to switch to desktop, open sound controls, switch from my TV to my USB headphones, and then back to TV sound. This only happens when I launch using the Nvidia HDMI sound option that my TV is connected to (when I launch using headphones as Default sound the audio does not crash).
My sister experienced the same issue with the GTX1080 (different TV and CPU as well for record).
This actually happens on Live now as well, but hoping we can get a fix during this cycle.
