Looks like ZOS changed mind about the new skin from Cloudrest.

In patch notes we had written:

Which means that hard mode is require to obtain the skin, like the Asylum one.

In Asylum skin description we have also written that hard mode is required:
FDd9rro.png

Now let's take a look at Z'maja skin description:

There is no single word about this that trial needs to be completed with hard mode.

I think that at the beginning ZOS wanted to reward us with this skin after we complete the trial on veteran difficulty, but they changed their mind later about hard mode require but forgot to update the tooltip before Summerset went to PTS.

    People have run the trial and said nothing about getting the skin, so I'd guess it's a tooltip error if anything.

    Skin is a guarantee drop xD The polymorph in asylum is not guarantee xD
    Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
    Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.

    @Astrid_V take a look at the achievements. The achievement for vet complete has a title and dye, the achievement for vet complete with all bosses in the same fight has title and skin. But yeah, I noticed the text on the collectible too. Bringer of Light might be an even cooler title than Voice of Reason, though, so if they ended up leaving skin at only completing it on veteran, I could live with that. Still leaves me with incentive enough to do hm!

    Though I expect they’ll change the collectible tooltip and keep the skin behind hm.

    That was kinda OPs' point. It seems like they initially wanted to make it obtainable by normal veteran clear only, but some time before they announced it change their minds and put it behind HM instead.

    If I read correctly that is.

    It is indeed a tooltip error. This skin is acquired after getting the Cloudrest Vanquisher achievement, which is done by completing Veteran Hard Mode.

    Well i will never get it then. I couldn't think of anything more tedious than veteran hard mode. This appears to be a skin for the elitists. Good for them.

    Nothing elitist or tedious about it. Just join a trials guild, it's really not that hard. Some things exist purely as a reward for doing the hardest content available, ESO is no different from any other MMO in that regard.

    Mini trials = Hardmode neeeded to get skin
    Trials = Veteran mode needed to get skin


    I do think it would be better to do it the other way around.

    that is the polymorph, not skin
