MagNB solo Battlegrounds build+gameplay

Hey guys, been getting a lot of questions from magblades in game so thought I would post it. Here is the build I have been using, its mostly a adaptation of @Blobsky 's build so credit goes to him, I just added in the cancer. Enjoy the gameplay!

The Caluurion + Zaan build is nasty on a MagBlade.

There's a dude on PC EU (not sure what the @ handle is, but the char is Nyx Assassin) that plays BGs with a similar build, but with even more cancer sprinkled. He plays a single-target bomblade build.

He arms a Proxy Det, Cloaks up, then Teleport Strikes in to land a LA+Incap. Teleport Strike from Shadowy Disguise is a guaranteed single target crit, which will proc Caluurion with 100% success if it's not on cooldown.

So the fight begins with you taking Teleport Strike, Caluurion, Proxy Det, LA+Incap damage and being stunned. If you don't foresee and block this in no-CP, it's RIPeroni pepperoni as Alcast would say. And if you somehow survive this, then there's always the Zaan proc which will come from LA+Concealed spam, while you are defiled and he's doing 20% extra damage.

Glad we still have proc sets doing all the damage. You’d think that reigning in Viper was a lesson, but apparently that’s one thing of the past long forgotten.

That sounds awfully op for single target fights but sub par for group/support. And it’s also yet another reason why BGs with noCP are terrible... they simply don’t work after ZOS spent the last 2 years “balancing” classes around CP....

OP is only CP 600, I don’t think he would remember viper.

This is a good Xv1 build that will take newer players up a level and allow them to get kills they otherwise wouldn’t get. When I was CP 600 I have to admit that I ran viper / tremorescale. It was a good set of training wheels and as I improved I gradually changed my sets away from a RNG-based playstyle like this one to a skill-based playstyle.

But for what this build is trying to do, it’s very effective and well thought out. What it lacks in flexibility it makes up for in all the rage tells I’m sure it’ll get. All it’s missing is Stam / immov poisons.

I’ve been ganking on a MNB for a long time. 1.5 years at least. They just made it a lot easier.

Disagree on the last sentence.It really depends.

Cyrodill is undoubtedly better with CP because you end up heavily outnumbered in many fights and horse simulator is no fun.

In BGs it's the opposite. Fights are mostly even and in the event of a death, you're back in in 20" at worst. So no-CP suits it better rather than infinite sustain stalemate builds.

There's a couple of things that are too strong, like last DLC's proc sets and cost resource poisons. If those did not exist then no-CP BGs would be the most fun you could have in PvP in this game. By a country mile.

Yea I agree 100%. I really don't understand why ZOS would nerf viper and other proc sets in one patch, then proceed to add new cancer to the game in the form of caluurion, plagueslinger, doylemish and more... I was so glad the proc meta was over, but ZOS just doesn't seem to have the originality to come up with something else.

They nerfed the Stam proc sets.

We now live in the mag proc set era.

Thankfully, proc sets on mag builds aren’t as strong as proc sets on Stam builds.
