mDKs- Will you be wearing light or heavy armor in PVP (Summerset)

With the new changes to regen (it now increases with the burning status)- will you be running heavy armor or light armor? Currently, I run 5l/1m/1h setup... but I'm actually contemplating 5h/1m/1l with Shacklebreaker, Innate, and Valkyn.

What are you thoughts? Do the heavy armor passives outweigh the light armor passives for your playstyle?

Bursty (light) for BGs where damage matters and staying alive in heavy is hard. Heavy for OW, since I play solo and defense in light is awful.

Heavy Armor: I prefer to be tanky

My MagDK wears heavy while tanking for PVE - most of what I do with her these days - and light in PVP as a group healer.

I bet you're looking forward to the new heals coming out. I wonder if the new Eruption is going to be similar to Grand Healing (as you can have multiple circles up at once) or if it'll be active only in one area.

I experienced both playstyles for my magdk. Both light and heavy work very well in open world. But i always prefer to have some decent resistances, so when i am in light, i tend to wear some chudan or pirate skelly to make up for the resistances.

I'm not a DK main. But I feel like heavy armor synergizes better with DK, because of the stamina restore that also works when blocking.

At first glance the sustain changes don't seem enough to warrant heavy over light
We'll have to wait and see for final revisions. If any passives in Heavy change, my judgement may change

Disagree. Yeah the damage loss in heavy is higher on a DK than any other class, but you can still build very high in heavy if you have a few tricks. I personally have 3.3k self buffed sd. 39.5k mag, and 4k pen on offense bar. This is with 28.5k health and 15.7k stam.

Indeed. I think, people expect heavy armor to offer the same damage as light armor, while offering more passive survival. This is of course not how it should be. There are ways to build for damage with heavy armor, altough heavy armor favors weapon damage aka stamina more than it favors magicka. Speaking about possible heavy armor sets choices.
