It would depend on the price, of course, but if it was reasonable (no more than 1,200) I'd buy two. I'd like to have three outfits at the ready; one to show my faction pride in PVP, one to adhere to a traditional look for my role, and one for silly fun, like a heavy armor look on my mag sorc or a necro look on my healer. Never going to buy any outfit slots as long as they are per character.

If ZOS makes the outfit slots account wide, I would buy at least two slots however; they need to lower the price. For 1500 Crowns, I can buy additional character slots. To me, 1000 Crowns would be more reasonable and that is me being generous.

I can't really answer. So far I'm very happy with the one slot giving me a look that fits the character in the field, with costumes for any social time .... but I'm not RPing in ESO, so there's not a huge driving factor to do the looks.

However, I really do enjoy putting outfits together so I probably would buy at least one reasonably priced account wide slot in order to have a second option for everyone, and possibly a second one. What's reasonable? Well, depends on what else is competing for my 1500 crowns a month. Let's say 750 crowns, thus costing half a sub's allotment and leaving me feeling I can still get something else that catches my eye.

I don't think account wide or individual is the issue. It is what price ZoS would charge for them.

In most MMOs, a single character outfit slot is going for roughly $0.80 while an account wide slot is usually $2.50-$3.

If ZoS were to sell at market rate of 80 Crowns for a single slot and 300 Crowns for account wide then yes, it would make sense.

But right now they are offering a single slot for a single character for 1500 Crowns - which is completely absurd given normal market prices. What would they charge for an account wide slot? 15,000 Crowns?

When i bought the slot it didnt say it was only for one character, I really hoped ZOS was gonna be cool and have a second slot on all my guys, i figured knowing their horriable money grubbing tendencies. But for a minute, i remembered the old days when it was about the fans and the making of a great game.
But its just about pushing sub par content and getting as much money for it as possible. Damn shame

If they were decently priced (i.e. ~200-450 crowns each) then I'd get two.
One for a city/non-combat outfit, and one to mess around with. :)

IMO being able to configure and save an extra outfit, should only cost a couple of euros at best.

Outfit slots (aka costume slots) were way cheaper in Wildstar. Like 10 times cheaper. Also account bound.

Not to mention you get free 6 slots that you can extend to 12.

This vote comes with the same caveat as almost everybody else:

The price is lowered. I will not buy them as they are because a per-character basis is just plain dumb. Account wide for around 500 crowns each? I'd buy two or three for sure.

I currently bought one slot for my main--it's the only character i use enough to justify having 2 outfits on deck (plus costumes and actual gear looks I like).

If it were account wide, at the current price, I'd buy a couple more. I'd still only actively use one, maybe 2 slots at a time, but it would be nice to set up outfits I'd like to improve on or return to in the future.

I'd also like a "copy from" feature, where you can import an outfit from character A to character B via the outfitting menu, but that's a separate discussion.

As someone with zero interest in spending money on cosmetics, I think the poll would be better if it split the last option. There should to be a response for people like me who have no interest and a different response for people who would buy at a lower price. The former people don't really matter as ZOS isn't going to get money from us for this regardless, but the latter people do matter.

Before the outfit system came out, I reckoned that I'd be willing to spend 100 crowns on a single slot for a single character. That seemed reasonable to me given that there's a lot of room for the outlay to balloon given available slots per character and multiple characters.

With that said, I wouldn't spend 1500 crowns on an account-wide slot, because I don't have 15 characters. It wouldn't really be cost-effective to me. My preference would be individual slots at a greatly reduced price point, so I could decide how much to shell out and allocate slots as I saw fit.

Account-wide slots at the current price would be vastly preferable to what we have now, but my ideal setup would be individual slots at a much more reasonable price. Given that that's not likely to happen either way, I'm probably just never going to buy additional slots.

I would buy 2 or 3 of them.
And make outfits for each of my 15 toons.
      - casual outfit, for wandering around and doing crafting writs
      - PvE roleplay outfit
      - Alliance-themed outfit for ceremonial situations and Cyrodiil
      - outlaw outfit for dark machinations.

And each of them will be different on all of my toons.
Buying 3 outfits for each of them? No way.

I probably wouldn't buy them, regardless, but perhaps if they were account-wide and cheap enough. To introduce a game system and then charge extra for its use says to me "not really part of the game." It's like charging for access to a dungeon DLC and then charging an additional admission fee at the dungeon door. As someone who doubts their ability to create the perfect outfit on the first try, participating in the system at all seems like opening a door I'd rather remain closed. At least we're not charged every time we want to move a piece of furniture in our houses!

I would buy 4-7 today if they were account-wide and reasonably priced.

An account-wide outfit slot unlock in EA's SWTOR costs $2.40. And in SWTOR, "account-wide" is account-wide, not just server-wide like in ESO.

No freaking way am I ever paying $15 for one unlock for one character... for anything. Certainly not something like outfit slots, which have been a baseline feature of MMOs since at least 2011.

ZOS charging such a ridiculous price for a feature that most MMOs were either selling for in-game coin or giving away six years ago... it's just stupid beyond belief.
