It’ll never happen. The video game industry is convinced that leather clothing is somehow quieter than cloth clothing.

Of course, anyone who has actually worn leather clothes can say from experience that leather clothes are noisy has hell... but, w/e, it’s just a game.

I agree with moving the sneak passive to the legerdemain skill line & replacing it with a penetration passive or a crit dmg modifier passive.

Another thought - what would we do with the medium armor sets that have stealth set bonuses? Crafted is fine, you can make it in any type, but world-drop.... /hmm

Leave them the way they are. There’s no reason to change them just because sneak is move out of the medium armor skill line.

I support this as well and i think stealth abilities should have their own skill line rather than be mixed matched in other skill lines.

It clearly belongs in ledgermain, so medium armor gets a passive that makes it a little bit more desirable in PvP, than heavy armor.
    Now on PC.

You mages barely have enough stamina to stand up, let alone sneak.

Want to sneak? Put away the robe and put on some real armor.

what do you mean mages? and can't they be hybrid? anyone can sneak in the world of elder scroll

More penetration?cant be close to light armor make it go up 2k or 1.5k with full medium. We already got weapon damage which is meh ok.

    I'd fully back this.

However we would then run the issue whilst people in light armour are better at sneaking, so are people in heavy. Fullplate users being as sneaky as light clothed thieves.

Unless they add some kind of weight penalty to the armours.

Just tie it into the Legerdemain passives, armor weight penalties could easily be a part of the sneak passive itself.

That skill definitely needs to be replaced. How about crit resistance instead? Or snare resistance?

As a mage I began to protest, but really needed a nap first.

I think that medium needs a meaningful and reasonable buff, though I'm not going to pretend to know what that should be. Restricting that 5th passive behind a 5 pc req and reducing critical AOE and trap damage by 2%/3% per piece? Eh maybe?

The sneak passive on medium isn’t that great. Almost anything else they’d pick to replace it would be better, so I don’t care if it gets changed even as a NB player.

Sneak reduction is available elsewhere. Leger already offers a 40% reduction. You can buy reduction in the CPs. (And medium wearers can buy spell resist to make up what they aren’t getting from light armor)

From a narrative perspective, it makes TOTAL sense that medium is sneakier. Both historically and in the fantasy world of Tamriel. The notion that a high elf in a giant flowing robe would be more effective at sneaking up behind someone than a cat in leathers is kinda silly.

yup, needs to be under LEGENDERMAIN, TG, DB, or some benefits in all of them. Maybe emphasize mobility and crit in medium?

Yes please. They've been adding sneak in and steal stuff to run of the mill quests not just specialty DLCs and it gets frustrating.

I agree with this. Replace it with something combat based. armor pen isn't a bad idea at all.

Run speed and Stealth should both be part of either Legermain or DB, since they both use it to varying degrees (and they're also both non-combat based skill lines...DB is a bit....but only due to Blade of woe).

To be fair, I think it would be easier to sneak in leather pants than a long dragging cloth robe. :D

cloth can be robe or shirt, if you do crafting you should know this.

Sure, but they can't buff Medium armor in any manner.

Evocation/Recovery = Wind Walker (two in one)
Athletics = Spell Warding (Roll-dodge more = less damage taken)
Prodigy > Dexterity (but only by like 500 Critical Chance)
Concentration (~8% overall damage punch-through) = Agility (12% Weapon Damage Increase)

So, if they were to remove sneak from this, you would have Wind-Walker being split into two skills to replace Improved Sneak.

That is all that should happen, were sneak to be removed from Medium armor.

I personally would place the cost reduction into the Well-Fitted armor trait, and have the sneak AoE reduction placed into legerdemain.

I know what you're saying but concentration is light years better than agility. When you compare the two armor sets it would appear that what's needed for proper balance is a damage buff, but despite the difference in crit and raw power stamina is doing just fine in terms of power. Where there is a significant contrast is survivability. Someone made the suggestion of having medium armor mitigation against AoEs per piece worn. I think that's a great suggestion, but blade cloak would need a nerf, and that would end up killing the move, but I think the change would be overall good since it would get the survivability of bow and 2H users.

Id say drop stealth from medium to legedermain and replace it with a passive dodge chance like 1% chance per peice to evade like shuffle or something
I'm everything that doesn't belong in the pact but i'm there anyway...
