So that’s it for Mag wardens?

After the cliff racer nerf, mag wardens we’re already disadvantaged from other magicka classes, and now shalk will no longer stunts? They are already not good in PVE, and now they will be bad in PvP. Please don’t nerf shalk, it’s the last thing that makes magicka wardens shine! This class used to be fun back in the days, now every patch its getting more and more disadvantaged, for a class that we ALL paid to get, I would’ve expected more.

First make sure to voice your opinion on the PTS with informed commentary - it's pretty vital to express your concerns during that period. But make sure to be as informed as possible to make sure you are taken seriously.

Second, hopefully we can get an improvements throughout the PTS and more substantial compensation

Have to wait and see what happens with Summerset in PTS. They will probably change and rework Warden skills slowly, if at all. They will probably look at least a little different, maybe more viable in other areas, by next Chapter next year.

I’m saying not to nerf it, I know it can change. That’s why I’m saying that...

This is the first I have heard Shalks are no good for PvE... I have Mag-Wardens in my guild doing 50k+ single target in trials with Shalk being one of their highest DPS skills...

I though do agree I would not like to see the stun removed... but to call the skill worthless...

thats fair though most seem to agree that the balance direction seems to be a stark contrast too what the community wants.

i.e more healing/utility is not what people have been after.

After one year of basically daily complaints and pleas for MagWarden to be fixed, specially for PvE, I almost lost hope.

The last chance will be when the Warden comes to the Crown Store. If they don't make them viable in PvE by then, I'm pretty sure I'll give up on Warden as DPS.

Now that we have class reps this might change how long it'll take for Wardens to change depending on who the Warden rep is.

@Larsay the pre-PTS change to shalks probably makes it even better for pve actually. There aren’t all to many instances I can think of offhand that require you to stun something, and applying major breach to large trash pulls is handy. But yeah, I can understand why this hurts pvpers, and it would be nice to see more warden morphs have more flavor/variety between them instead of Netch, lotus blossom, and now shalks all pretty much only being “this is mag morph and has [generic spell buff/debuff] attached and this is stam morph and has [generic physical buff/debuff] attached!”

..................................................Shalk switching stun to breach is actually a PVE buff outside of well-made groups (i.e. for content where you have to rely on your own debuffs). So yah. Totally the end of magdens. In fact, of the game as a whole. Might as well delete the client right now.

I kind of agree. If it's already in Zeni's heart to bring some nerfs into MagWarden then that's very disappointing.

I mean are shalks that powerful? Why not decrease damage from snipe builds? Or nerf the ultimate from the assassin skill line? I don't know. There are just more things that are deserving of "balance".

I get that it's a buff in some situations. But it really is quite disappointing from a Pvp perspective. We will manage but that literally leaves me with no stun in my current setup. =\

Magdens still can heal and survive like crazy with infinite resources in light armor... so I guess you're right where stam dk is. You either tank and don't kill/heal or you build to deal damage but its mediocre and you sacrifice a lot of survivability. Good riddance. *** wardens.

ZOS doesn't care about warden. It was just a marketing stunt to get people to buy Morrowind. They don't seem to have any intention of balancing the class.

Major breach is completely useless in PvE as any team will maintain 100% major breach uptime with elemental drain.

It's a delayed burst skill. Not particularly useful in PvE because:

    - It's a burst skill
    - The delay *** with your rotation

I still use it for the animal companion passive, but it isn't a great skill.
