No Early Access With Physical Collector's Ed. of Summerset

duncan1745b14_ESO
It doesn't seem fair for those that pay for the pre-release of the physical collector's edition not have early access as those that pre-order reg. or digital collector's.

Physical? I'm having problems remembering what that means. Like you put a physical disc in your drive? Sounds so rudimentary.

I preordered the physical special collectors edition and should have it May 21st. Doesn't go on sale otherwise till June 5th. May 21st is the early release date. Are you not able to get yours in time for the early release? What retailer are you using? May need to get in touch with ZOS about it. I recall others having the issue when the preorders first went live, where online retailers weren't reporting the early release date for preorders.

If I think this through for a moment, I come to the conclusion that it doesn't seem at all reasonable that a company would punish the very people that purchased the most expensive version of their product by not allowing early access, and I am 100% sure this is not the case.

When the game launched, many people that ordered physical CE's did not get them in time for early access. ZOS was able to flag those accounts (with proof of purchase) and grant them early access.

When Morrowind released, there were some that weren't able to get their physical CE's in time for early access. Again, when proof of purchase was submitted, ZOS was able to flag those accounts and grant early access.

It seems highly likely that there is a plan in place for those that pre-ordered the Summerset physical CE, as well.

There is no early access in this game, unless you mean the PTS?

No matter what version you purchase everyone can only access Summerset on it's specified release dates per platform.

I mean you would think, it doesnt really look like it this time around though. I got the pc physical collectors edition and the retailer I got it from says the release date is 5th of june rather than 21st as it should be for pc. When I asked support for help with this they told me to sort it out with the retailer myself and despite submitting proof of purchase, I was told that I will have to actually have my physical collectors edition in hand to get access and submitting proof of purchase doesn't change anything.
