Just a few things from recent patch notes of what gamebreaking issues are being addressed during planned maintenances:
How about focussing on actual server performance instead?
- Fixed an issue for Japanese players where choosing the Summerset Collector’s Edition upgrade from the Crown Store would take you to the incorrect page.
- (...) fixes the issue where you would receive multiple UI errors in-game after pre-purchasing the newly-announced Chapter, Summerset.
- Made some improvements to the overall server stability. (This actually is in 3.3.9 patch notes, believe it or not)
- Fixed an issue that could temporarily result in an inconsistent appearance when using the Hide Helmet option with an Outfit.
- Fixed an issue where the rear textures on bear cubs could warp while they were running.
- Fixed an issue where you would see snow flickering on the roof of some smaller Nord houses.
How about focussing on actual server performance instead?

✭You probably don't want the person/team fixing warping textures to be looking into server stability from an efficiency perspective. It's like asking your local car mechanic to repair an airplane.
Also low-hanging fruit like a UI error is a lot easier to fix than "make the servers more stable". It's not a statement that UI errors > performance, but "we were able to fix this, and we're still working on that".
I'm not in any way suggesting that the EU server implosions are okay, but I do believe them when they say they're working on it and their communication channels with their vendors might be a little bit on fire right now.2 -

The flickering roofs on houses in Eastmarch still isn't fixed. I know because I've spent the past 2 days there farming for infused Dragonguard swords. And by the way, I have every piece of Fiord and Stendarr known to man if anyone wants this junk.Edited by N00BxV1 on April 11, 2018 3:35PM1 -
