Common good quest and player bevaior during this event

I sure love to attack a mob group of 3 to get to a quest items and someone just comes in and takes it.
Can we PLEASE loot during being attacked? In most MMOs you get flagged for combat as soon as you are near a questitem or they allow to collect items during combat.

This is just soooo annoying and never happened to me before this event.

you may group up with others, one fights the mobs and the others can go grab items.

I do and I have no issue with grouping. But the issue still remains because you cannot possibly invite everyone in a single delve. A lot of people will refuse grouping anyway.

Not just during this event, but happens throughout when you're out and about farming nodes, chests and whatnots. Been happening for the past several years that I have been playing ESO. Then, you get those numbnuts chastising you for calling them out for committing such unfavorable acts.. "Oh, you should've killed the adds faster," or "Oh, you don't own the nodes (chests, plants, whatever)." Man, nobody can single shot kill an add that is 30+ hp. Pathetic peeps.. ha ha.

Yeah, it would be nice if anyone comes into your immediate area where you are fighting/killing off the adds/mobs that they would also be aggroed into the fight. This way they cannot just go straight at the nodes, chest or whatever while you're in the midst of knocking out the adds. Yeah, I can literally take out a normal add by the node or chest in a heads on fight with just 2 whacks, but by the time of the second kill whack, the dude always at the node, plant or chest and gone. Goodness.. ha ha

I was in a delve yesterday. Person ahead of me stops in their tracks with a mob ahead (and the quest item behind them).
They waited until I attacked mob and ran over to quest item to grab it.

I knew it was going to happen. But you know what..the quest items respawn pretty quick in this game so I didn't care.

In another delve I saw a player speed running to get to boss with a train of mobs behind them.
I just stepped out of the way to not get aggro from the mobs.

Another delve..I was fighting 3 mobs using aoe and player runs by me training 3 more mobs who got caught up in my aoe and I ended up fighting 6 mobs. Did player stop to help ? Nope...

The majority of players are considerate though and help kill mobs and wait for other players to get to the boss spawn point in delves.

But then there are those few that don't care about anyone else but themselves and getting that loot.

Yeah you can just ask to group up, I've seen some people have issues with it and have no problem grouping up for that quest. I dunno how many times I have done it though to help others.
But all in all usually when you first enter the delve, head right and follow along the path there, yeah I know it is longer but I have yet to get all of what I needed before the delve boss fight.

I do these quests in groups. But I cannot possibly invite everyone because A. some are already in other groups B. some people refuse to group no matter what. And then of course there is the isse that new players enter the delve every 10 seconds.

Someone did that to me recently ... they saw I was fighting mobs near a heavy sack, so they rushed in and took it. I then followed them and did the exact same thing to them minutes later. LOL. Revenge was never so sweet.

Its annoying on that quest because the items dont spawn just for you. With folly for example it doesnt matter if the person not in your group runs ahead and grabs the relic, the relic will still be there for you. I dont know why they have two different methods of quest item placement but it is silly.

yeah i usually wait for people a few seconds. Its not going to kill me to wait 5 or 10 seconds to see if someone else shows up for the boss even then i will usually just cast an AOE and let it tick away for a few seconds...in other words, i take my sweet time killing the boss in case someone runs in and wants to tag it. And i will help people who are trying to make their way to the boss kill stuff rather than just blitz by them so i can get a fast kill.

But you know, im human and dont have anti social behavior, a neckbeard, or live in my moms basement, so i tend to be considerate of others who are just trying to do the same thing i am.

Don't mind ninjaing quest items much, I do the same.
That I hate is people using ultimate + bis rotation on delve bosses and other easy stuff you kill. if plenty of people around just do an AoE.

there's always the pathetic opportunist who obsessively steals all eggs and the unfortunate fighter who never gets any.

it's a horribly bad game design, like Common Goods and the Rescue prisoners of Reeking of Foul Play, but at Breakfast of the Bizarre you can watch closely all the behaviors of those lesser humans
