I just got nirnhoned researched for axes and with all these motifs from the anniversary event, I'm itching to update my weps. But, I'd hate to spend my gold tempers only to find out that once Summerset hits, there's a better combo. My understanding is that currently, nirnhoned mainhand with infused offhand is the way to go. I didn't see anything in the summerset changes that makes me think this setup will become significantly less effective, but then again, there are things I miss or fail to consider. Only thing that comes to mind is that sharpened might become more important, given the NMG/sunderflame change. I understand things are likely to change still, but I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable/experienced with the game mechanics might have a helpful prediction.
Does anyone have any insight into whether or not nirnhoned/infused is still the way to go, in light of what we know about summerset changes? I main a khajiit stamblade, btw.
