Put 3v3 4v4 5v5 Arenas in and Ill Come Back to the Game.

Long time player who quit roughly 6-7 months ago. Just thought I'd throw this out there. Been asked for since launch, but an actual team v team (only two teams total) arena would do this game wonders assuming its done right. I know its a longshot, but I really want to play this game again but I cannot bring myself to come back and get zerged down in lagodiil or play capture the BGs with 3 teams and not even get to pick the one I want to play.

Try guild wars 2 'pvp'. It what i was hoping battlegrounds could of been, but fell short.

One of the best fights I had was 4 vs 4 in Cyrodiil. When we four randoms (or were those 3 premade and in group? no idea) were "going in same direction" from just taken Sej to take Drake, and four (nice randoms or premade, also no idea) arrived to the outpost from BRK. I wasn't going to stop cause of it, but I saw that they are attacking my allies, I couldn't ignore this. It turned out to be ~5 minutes fight, it was so amazing And it was truly a miracle that it happened in open world.

I would love if we got actual team VS team mode for Battlegrounds!

Obviously this game is balanced around dueling. Unless we're discussing balance from a dueling perspective. Then it's no longer balanced around dueling.

I would prefer 2v2 for faster queues and more concentrated gameplay if you want an arena style environment. I could see 5v5 being more guild related but that can be accomplished in BGs as they stand now (3 way though).

In any case it really doesn't matter much to me at this point, I play the game as it is. More varied content is always welcomed.

Frankly, any form of structured small scale instanced pvp that is strictly a 2 way afair would be a godsend. This 3 way party pvp nonsense can kick rocks.

I did not realize people discriminate based upon platform. You would think after all the discrimination leading to death in history people would learn that it is flat out wrong.

Why can't we just change battlegrounds to have 2 teams facing each other instead of the 3 team nonsense.

It's easy to come back to and change.

Keep the drakes, daemons and lords. This doesn't need to be changed. Heck add another team to even it out if you have to.

Make the teams ACTUAL teams you have to join and represent. Not just random nonsense. Add another leaderboard but don't let it affect rewards. Keep those individual.

You can experiment with it on PTS without any harm. 4v4 6v6 8v8... Hell make giant battlegrounds and make it 12v12 even. Look at wow's Arathi Basin.

Beyond 4v4 you run into issues with straight DM as it becomes unmanageable since everyone is clumped together. 8v8 requires proper objective systems in place to create an incentive to spread players out various points of interest.

I thought alot about this as well. But i strongly believe the teams in bgs dont matter, just throw you on one of the 3 colored teams for the sake of scoreboard visibility and clarity mid match. But you represent ad ep or dc and there would be a vanity rewards vendor for which you could purchase various rewards that are styled in your faction based on your performance and time spent dedicated to BGs (and to a greater extent cyrdoil and ic, pvp overall).

Did I miss something? A lot of ppl have asked for 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 , etc BGs. Two teams only. It was asked for since Morrowind PTS.

Why is everyone ganging up on this dude? Some of you are so toxic rn it makes me embarrassed to be in this community. Unless he said some really messed up stuff in the past, it makes no sense to me why everyone is responding this way atm.
