Hi all i have khajit stam NB lvl 44 2h/bow 99% solo pve been having a bit trouble doing some bosses cause I'm not as good with rotation. People in chat told me to change to mag sorc bit easy if you mess up rotation. Problem is NB is my first character and have most of the things unlocked with him main story and dlc stories.

2h/sword
Surprise attack
Killers blade
Rally
Brawler
Relentless focus

Bow
Leaching strikes
Endless hail
Poison injection
Vigor
Best trap

Please tell me good rotation that I can practice or should I just change the class

Thanks

    Don't trust people in chat.

I would say, if you die to pve mobs the rotation is not the problem but your mitigation of incoming damage. Though if you have enough dmg not to get hit in the first place that work too.
Think on what deal most dmg to you and what you can do to make it hurt you less.
You are lvl 44 (without cp?) it will be hard for you to deal with some mobs.
Moons and sands shall be your guide and path.

a warm welcome to you @CalmZeus is good to have another nightblade in the ranks.

nightblade is hard to Master and takes alot of time and experience.
all of the skills nightblade has are not going to be comfortable to you at first and most of them alot of people never even use, Or they Have used them and found they just aren't what they want and or doesn't work the way their playstyle is.

the best advice to give right now to a new nightblade player is simply to feel out each and every single skill nightblade offers.
and then on top of that there is allways the choices in armor sets and weapon choice.

and also some people want to play as a nightblade tank and some want to be a Gank stealth rogue type, yet others play as Pure DPS never using stealth at all.

with summerset upcoming will be alot of changes to nightblade in several of those areas and skills that we have not had before. so right now i would not suggest anything but simply feeling out every inch of nightblade skills and playstyle untill your comfortable with where and what you know you want in nightblade class.

Mobs are ok but it's the bosses that give me trouble. I have to do the bosses twice or sometimes three times just so I can kill them. Yeah just lvl 44 no cp yet.

Your build is a little too skeleton dummy and not real world fighting.

You may want to use Shuffle (medium armor) for defense, Just using Cloak/disguise is also really useful. you can just avoid a lot of fights as a stamblade.

What ultimate's are you using? Incap? dawnbreaker? Ballista?

You can also try to kite the boss, typically in a circle to try to keep them in endless hail, and roll dodge their big swings.

I also think it might be that you are out leveling your gear. How close is your gear to level 44?

I remember when I was a new 2h/bow Stamblade I also really struggled in Reaper's March because I was low cp and was leveling that so fast that i was still running around in level 40 gear. Eventually I found some cp 100 hundings rage in a guildstore in Ral'wha and went back to the boss fight in Athrena and did it in one go. If your gear is a lot lower level than you it gets reduced in effectiveness. See if you can get someone to craft you some hundings rage gear.

While I was leveling (under 50) I kept my health at around 23K and used the soul tether ultimate when I had to do delve bosses or end of quest chain bosses.

Any skill that gave me back health was on my bar.

Once I hit cp160 I got my gear and weaned myself off of all the health stuff and concentrated on dps rotations.

@CalmZeus Exact same build I solo dungeons on  NB's are a hard (probably the hardest) class to use, just keep up your heals & brawler shield as best you can.

Rotation wise just get your DoTs up (endless hail, trap beast, poison injection), then I always use Brawler when swapping on & off my main bar to keep shields up as much as possible. Proceed to spam LA/HA Surprise attack (or Killers Blade when <25%) and swap back after casting your Relentless Focus proc.

    Apply Buffs
    Apply AoE
    Brawler > Surprise Attack spam
Cast Spectral bow whenever you remember
Make sure to practice Light Attack/Heavy Attack weaving!!

After a while you'll learn what works for you & the rotation will become muscle memory

The reason for it getting harder now is as soon as you hit level 40 (ish) the metaphorical training wheels come off and combat levelling isnt as effective especially no cp! Remember the struggle myself as soon as i hit that on my first character.

Only thing I can think is your gear isn't optimal or is out levelled - what console/server do you play on? If Xbox EU I can craft you gear up to CP 150, maybe CP160 if ive got the mats spare to help you get there

Ok, I think we're talking PvE here, as different skills/abilities are use for PvP. PvE-wise, and since you're using a 2H/greatsword, right? I'm sure the 2H is your front bar and bow back. So, you don't really need the Killer Blade. For a stam 2H, Executioner is the rightful executioner skillset, if slotted. For PvE, I don't really need or slot the Executioner, but you can. As a 2H, you have to slot the Dizzy Swing; PvE-wise, that is some brutal damages you're missing out on, plus knocking down/back the targets (non-world bosses) you hit. Rally is fine, but I prefer Forward Momentum for the anti-snares. Good Lord, you need that as every adds/mobs are throwing any and every cc/snares on you. Also move Resolving Vigor to the front bar with the 2H, as you get more juice on the front bar, and move the Focus to the back bow bar. If you have Razor Caltrops, slot it with the front 2H bar. If you don't have it, then "GO" get it; very nice to have. For your bow bar, don't worry about the beast trap. Yes, you get extra weapon dam and crit from it, but with the 2H skillset/abilities, you're dealing enough brutal damages to miss not having the trap.

Try this slots-wise (just a suggestion:)

Front Bar (2H): Dizzying Swing / Forward Momentum or Rally / Brawler or Executioner / Razor Caltrops ( if no Caltrops yet, you can slot Surprise Attack here) / Resolving Vigor. Ultimate: Flawless Dawnbreaker

Back Bar (Bow): Poison Injection or Venom Arrow (I actually prefer Venom) / Leeching Strikes / Piercing Mark / Endless Hail / Relentless Focus. Ult: I prefer Ice Comet here (for PvE.)

    Rotations: (Again recommended)

For adds/mobs: You can start with Leeching and/or Focus, but not really necessary for adds/mobs. Just Razor Caltrops (or Endless Hail, if no caltrops), then slice with Brawler and finish them off with Dizzying Swing; that will do.

For bosses (world bosses, higher hp delve and dolmen bosses, etc..):

First, hit him with the Piercing Mark, if the boss is not already broken by a tank's Pierce Armor or something. If no tank or boss's health bar isn't fractured yet, him hit with the Piercing Mark. For PvE, I prefer to slot the Mark versus the Surprise Attack because you can use the Mark from range. Hit Leeching, Relentless and Forward Momentum or Rally, then drop Caltrop and/or Endless Hail (since I have both slotted, both will be dropped simultaneously for added direct and DoT damages.) Next, hit him with Poison Injection or Venom Arrow, swipe with the Brawler, followed by 2 to 3 combo of heavy attacks and Dizzying Swing whacks. Drop the ultimate. I always combo (or AC/animation canceling) with heavy attacks/Dizzying Swing; extra juice/damages from the heavy attacks, plus this is how you regen stam back more quickly.

So kind of looks like this.

Piercing Mark (as needed) / Leeching / Relentless / Forward Momentum or Rally / Poison Injection or Venom / Caltrops and/or Endless Hail / Brawler/ AC heavy attacks and Dizzying Swing (2 or 3 times) / Ice Comet or Flawless D (I just slot Flawless D for the extra 5% weapon dam for the 2H bar, but will most always use Ice Comet.)

Somewhere in between, you may have to use Vigor, but I may break rotations and whack with the Brawler to get the shield and probably AC heavy attacks/Dizzying Swing to get stam regen back. Otherwise, back to rotations as above. Well, hope this helps and gives you some ideas.

since your super new a good starting point is to drop your dots and then spam surprise attack. when dots end you repeat. (usually dots you keep on bow bar)

and practice weaving light attacks and cancelling skills with bar swapping when you're going to switch bars.

I feel like its better when you new to keep it simple and know general "direction" to head instead trying to carbon copy a rotation from a pro.
