Next event: Does anyone know if preparing daily turn-ins beforehand works?

If I were to get a whole bunch of daily quests finished but not actually go all the way to the reward page, and then wait for the jubilee event to start, would those loot tables retroactively be changed to give me jubilee boxes?

Because then it would literally be too late to matter, and I'm not going to bother spending hours of my time setting up a bunch of dailies only to find out none of them will give me the boxes anyway. I'm hoping someone tried this last year and can confirm if it does or does not work.

Don't know, but that's what I'm doing today. I'm preparing crafting writs and doing the undaunted delve quests on all my characters today, but not turning them in until tomorrow. We'll see. I expect it'll work just fine, and we'll get the anniversary boxes.

I want to build up the undaunted skill on my characters anyway, so it's something I would have wanted to do anyway.

quest log limit is only 25 active quests, right? So if you completely clear your quest log, the maximum you could "pre-load" is 25. Not really worth it IMO.

I don't know this for sure, but the way I understand what other people have been saying about writs is pick up the writs beforehand on all your characters, but do them after the event starts and turn them in before the "day" starts again. Then pick up more and run a second time. I'm just sticking with writs because they are super fast to do and I can get 66 boxes a day doing writs alone on all my characters.

Pretty sure last year that if you picked up writs the day before and then completed the day of the event you got the rewards. They might be on to it this time, but I will certainly give it a try.

You're thinking too small. 25 per character times 8-15 characters, 200-375 quests. Doubt I'll take full advantage of this but I may hold off on turning in some of mine.

I guess I'll just take the chance on it then, I can line up a bunch of quests on most of my characters and just use them to level up some skills.

In another thread someone posted that there is a 12 quest/day/toon limit on the boxes. So saving today's writs for tomorrow will max you out for the first day if that's true.

Actually there is a daily quest cap its at 40 daily quests per day.

Max ammount would be 600 boxes a day, if there is no box cap on chars

Dailies count but unlimited repeatables (such as Dark Brotherhood) do not.

It did work last year, but won’t work this year.

They changed how these work and won’t grant you another writ if you completed one that day. Think it’s the same with all daily quests now.

Edit: It seems it was a bug and that it works like it used too now according to @Elsterchen which is good news!

They did fix that bug, you can hand in yesterdays writ and pick up todays right afterwards. It didn't work for a few patches, but then got fixed. However this is no guarantee for the event boxes to drop at handing in yesterdays writs today. ... and if I recollect forum entries correctly there may still be a problem with one of the CWC quest givers. Idk as i only randomly do those quests.

I wondered about that. I often used to save the writs and do double the next day and i felt maybe the rest time had moved.

No it was changed quite some time ago, I noticed that because one day I didn’t have time to do the writs, so I picked them up and planned to do both next day, but it didn’t give me a new one after I turned the saved one in.

Wait this was a bug?? I haven’t tried it after that so this is very good news indeed!!

The writs I had from the day before did in fact give out crates.

Fortunately, I was all ready to go, and all my writs did count. Note that I completed all the crafting on Monday and they still counted, so at least for this year you could craft everything ahead of time and just turn them in today.
