Does attacking owned livestock count as "murder" or "assault"?

Im asking because the Dark Brotherhood passive "scales of pitiless justice" decreases heat from Assaults and Murders; so does that mean taking this passive will give less heat when someone sees me killing livestock?

There's a few places in game that has lots of goats in the same place, but it's difficult/impossible to kill them without getting noticed. It's a nice source of guts for my lake fishing so getting much less heat would be helpful.

i do not know. What I do know is that if you're spotted looting the meat it counts as stealing.

Ah... I didn't consider that. That passive wont help with that then, thanks.
