Light sources in character creation

Whenever I make a character, I notice that they look very different in character selection and ingame. Light sources and angles seem to have a big influence on this. I'm quite often very happy with how a character looks in character creation, but when I see them in character select, they look really awful.

I'd like an option in character creation where you can select different light modes or sources, where you can see what your character would look like in different conditions.

Spending crowns on an appearance change is at the moment rather pointless without a solution like this.

+1 to this. I don't understand why this game seems to cater to dim lighting as a default; character creation, many of the outfit stations... irks me.

Yes, please. I though the Coldharbor cell was bad enough, the lighting in the ship's hold is possibly even worse.

Always a big ol' shadow across my toon. Even as the character creation screen has changed with the different chapters, still with the shadow.

Agreed. I should not have to repeatedly create a character and delete them because of the deceitful lighting in character creation.

Its not so much the lighting, it's the perspective, or rather focal length of the camera lense. In the Chargen, it's almost a telephoto so the face looks slimmer, in the game, it's more wide angle, so the face looks fatter.

Lighting, I expect that to be different and it should be brighter in the chargen to see more detail.

But, get the perspectives the same and the characters will better in game
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Face and Body zoom, rotation and selection of multiple lights are mandatory in any character creator. Failing that one day within creation of character have free appearance change.

We should also have some way to save appearance presets we've created.
