THe children are really good at hide and seek.
    This

Probably also no children, in order to protect us from facing crazy people going on everywhere slaughtering children "for fun"

They can have kids in the game... just if you try to attack them, they act like guards. They have infinite cc, can and will one shot you, and if you damage them enough, everyone who was attacking them gets one shotted

As pointed out there are ways to curb player choices of behavior that we do not want to encourage. Making them non-intractable is a good one. This covers attacks and pickpocketing.

And then they steal all your sweetrolls.

Why do people want kids so bad holy [snip]

    Go play some sims

    [Edited to remove profanity]

If you had read the whole OP, then you can see that I was not calling for them to be added. I was pointing to this fact and citing it as a possible means to support within the game the proposed changes to Dueling.

I've noticed this too, and out of all the things in this game, the lack of children anywhere in the game is what breaks the immersion for me.

Templar vampires? ?yeah I can buy that and come up with headcanons as to why.

but no children...anywhere? when we know NPC's have relationships and are doing...things...in their lives...yeah, that is the most immersion breaking thing.

Even if something happened that made everyone sterile, no pre-existing children. So yeah. it does kind of bother me. Child npc's don't even need to be interactive. But their presence would make the in-game world seem way more real.

Whether we notice or not, our minds take in what we see and weighs what is present or missing. For a game we call this immersion. Even have story within the game as to why they are elsewhere can help with the immersion.

At least it would not be a world that is one generation away from dieing out, if it is then how can you explain that the TES series in in the future. As can be seen this breaks not only the immersion of TESO but for the whole product line.

There are no schools either! *gasp*

Audrion up north somewhere there's a quest inside a School. Grathwood has spinners to pass on stories.

Yes, they just always struck me more as adult schools if you know what I mean.
