Not all of Elsweyr is sand, and even parts that are covered in sand are better that any sand in redguard areas.

Only if there is skooma, otherwise I'm not that keen to walk into walk into giant size khajiit litter box where you get zerged by pickpocketing khajiits.
And the dlc about 3rd moon sounds rather intersting but not sure that how well it suits lore.

There are jungles too. And there's the city of Rimmen. And there's the Knahaten Flu still infecting the populace there. And there are some dungeons/landmarks that haven't showed up since Arena (or haven't showed up at all). IIIRC one of the Akaviri Potentates was assassinated in Elsweyr, which is an excellent excuse to have his ghost show up. Lots of reasons to go!

I don't know what they would have us do on the moon that hasn't already been done, but I don't object to going, I just think they need to drop more lore on it first, because right now I don't know enough about it to get hyped about going there.

That's not another moon, but either a Daedric demi-plane, basically a pocket of Oblivion, much like Maelstrom Arena and other quest locations or in fact a location on the Jode moon itself. http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:The_Demi-Plane_of_Jode

Pretty much meaning the two moons are not the real corpse of Lorkhan but the third moon remains hidden sailing behind the other moons. But cloaked in Darkness. Under the sway of the Daedric prince of Decay. I'm thinking it would also be undead like the Underking. Thus khajiit that fall under the influence of the decaying dead moon would be changed into dro-m'Athra. That is most likely the origins of the dro-m'Athra. My guess is the darkness of the scuttle void behind the moons prevents others on Nirn from Seeing the Third moon the true corpse. Or it could be the hearts darkness that prevents this moon from being seen. Either way you either have to follow the moon paths to really see it. Or when the alignment of the moons is just right it would be visible briefly when a potential mane is born.

If ZOS can keep up the quality I'd be happy to see more regions added to our current map of Tamriel, either as DLC or Chapters.

To answer the OP's question.

Yes I would like to see Elsweyr as a DLC.

There is plenty of space on the world map to allow for it, so why not. They have to be filled in with something, and a place full of talking cats sounds good to me.
