actually, I really dig this idea.
would be pleased to see a change like this!
Any process that requires checking and removing redundant identities is not a minor feature, especially if it could conflict with existing placement limits. And because of clipping/stuck issues, you won't have mount, pet, or any other sort of free movement. Just a static image.
Just another example where unrealistic wish lists will only lead to disappointment in the final result, if one were ever produced.

Also.. this is something we have been asking for since Housing became a thing in ESO.
It s a very minor feature I d like to see added, one that hopefully would be cheap to code in.
Say I log in with my Orc, port to my house and log out. Then I log another char and go to the same house.
My Orc is there, just like an NPC, drinking, wandering, beating the hell out of the dummy, wasting the house as an Orc should.
Given the house is large enough you could do this with all your chars, and see the whole party gathered.
Would you like that?

Mileage will vary I suppose.

I would be content if only one of your additional characters were able to be displayed in your primary, and with that single secondary choice would it not also be fantastic to be able to select one of the poses emotes for that secondary character display?
I would have my Khajiit stirring his bowl of food, for example.

Yes, I thought of this on my side but I really claim no copyrights here. Agree with your post.shiningforce wrote: »This has been brought up a lot
I want a house for each toon, so I'd love to be able to assign at least one toon to live in a home. If you log on with that one then obviously there'd be no dopplegangers.
But what if they just made npc shades of your chars, that were bound to your primary residence?
I mean we can stand mounts, pets, assistants there and still use them
I think because of all the different homes, pathing might be ridiculous- but then so is my knowledge of programming- so I don't know.
