Overworld ideas (rewards).

The overworld seems like a decent place to start off when you first enter this game, but after a few hours it remains as just that.
This is the case even more so for people who have already been playing the game more than a few months.
Wolves, mudcrabs, goblins, etc; also become a pest you want to avoid and their only purpose past level 5 is to change the game's music.

I was thinking we could receive some rewards after killing a certain amount of a certain enemy. Some examples would include: 100 gold for every 50 Nix Ox, 500 gold after killing 1000 zombies, and so on depending on how common these are mass-farmed.
Maybe killing 50 trolls summons a mini world boss with similar mechanics to the Troll King.
Something to at least make the overworld something worth exploring further.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the hard work ZoS put into creating the terrains, zones, voice acting, and quests, but the gameplay itself is severely lacking. Since they won't increase game difficulty, then you could at least keep us wanting to try out the overworld in other ways.

Those gold rewards seem kind of low. They amount to 2 gold per mob. There are some achievements for killing a lot of a certain type of enemy, though.

Have you tried all the quests?

Achievements don't cut it. I couldn't care less for 2 second ego boosts and I'm sure there's more people like me out there who think this.
I've tried a ton of quests from every zone, but it gets to a point where I'm absolutely done doing chores and dealing with easy mobs.

Eh. Doesn't really seem to add anything to the game, as we already get reward drops from overland mobs on occasion.

I think that people need no encouragement to farm overland mobs, unless its part of some questline, they ought to be avoided as inconsequential...

...that being said, I sometimes wish there were -less- of those mobs around, but with a chance of some of them being stronger (one pip enemies?) to make it more interesting,. But eh, no big deal...
