My first Pet Sorc experience

I've played Magblade over 2 years , the ping problem was quiet bad , about 250 avg . Actually I couldn't run the Merciless Resolve effectively , I am so surprised that some of MB could shoot the Assassin's Will 3 times with normal rotation , I shoot 1 normally , 2 when I feel smooth ...

Skelly test : 17k

I am in PS4 platform , due to the block cost changing in the coming DLC , I know it will be a big impact to me , so I rebuild my Sorc Tank to Pet Sorc DPS . I took about 30 mins to check the updated build setup , rotation sequence and buy the required stuffs .

1st Skelly test : 24k ( Wow...)
2nd : 28k ( Ar... )
After 10 mins , I hited to 30k without potion , then I stopped .

I changed 2 parser skills to become more denfensive and went to VMA , I completed 2 run a day . No flawless surely lol but acceptable , I never run 2 times a day with my MB ...
Simple rotation and strong defense...I feel Pet Sorc is amazing and thanks all build writers in the internet

I've been having a lot of fun on my pet sorc too, but I'm eager to go back to stamina. Pet works, but after a while you really get annoyed with the lack of bar space, the boring rotation, and dumb pet AI always causing issues. I wont say it hasnt been cool having a daedric army at my command though (volatile familiar, twilight matriarch, daedroth from the maw of the infernal set, and my non combat baneling pet). Still, once i get caltrops unlocked I'm definitely going back to a stam build, I pulled better DPS back when I was stamsorc before and once I get caltrops and flawless dawnbreaker unlocked I'll be doing even better.

Stamsorc definitely had a lengthier and more complex rotation, not as easy as the pet build, but i just felt it fit my playstyle better. I get bored with the pet setup.

For the stam build I was using (or will be using again, once i get caltrops/fdb):

Front bar:
Shrouded Daggers
Rearming Trap
Deadly Cloak
Bound Armaments
Expert Hunter
Flawless Dawnbreaker (only for the passive bonus, dont actually use it)

Back bar:
Endless Hail
Caltrops
Hurricane
Bound Armaments
Critical Surge (optionally poison injection for trials or if you have a good healer, this is really just for the initial major brutality and the self heals)
Ballista

Rotation was pretty simple: Hurricane -> LA -> Caltrops -> LA -> Endless Hail -> Swap Cancel -> Deadly Cloak -> LA -> Rearming Trap -> (HA Cancel Shrouded daggers 2 or 3 times) -> Swap and repeat.

From the start of the rotation you have 15 seconds to finish it, so however many heavy attack / shrouded daggers combos you can get in before hurricane drops.

Well op, sadly zos think folks like u and i who play heavy attack build is cheesy, and nerfed it.

Welcome to the brotherhood of PetSorcs, comrade. A lot of people join us due to it being “meta”, and end-up leaving as soon as a collection of streamers call us bad again. Then the game flock to the next thing. But for those that pick-up pet builds and stay? They end-up learning a lot more about ESO as a whole, and regretting even indulging in what is meta and what isn’t. I hope you enjoy the experience.

To be honest I preferred 2014 sorcs. Sure, pets were useless... and thus much more optional than today.
Everything else was better. Less need to double bar everything. Shields lasted much longer (less button mashing). Could heal in trials and tank in non vet trials.
Class was much more fun, signature abilities were not nerfed yet. Teleport worked through longer distance.

It does not stop at sorcs too. DKs were good at more roles. Templars were used even as trial main tanks. Same for NBs.

Now everything has been flattened, normalized, made boring for simpletons. You could play 3 minutes without noticing you logged on the wrong class.

The problem with pets is I often find myself losing a lot of dps because some mechanics cannot be avoided, specially on console. My worst experience was serpent hm, there was no way the pet wouldn't die every single world shaper, so much I ended the fight without the pet

Aren’t you missing rending slashes?

I find that people have a hard time killing me when I go into Cyrodiil/BGs with my PvE pet sorc decked out in divines light armor and 9.8k stam . You must encounter some pretty awful pet sorcs if you 2 shot them with a smile on your face.

Yes, heavy attack consume off balance and get a fat bonus. Less off balance means less bonus. Infact dmg from heavy attack dropped like 40-50% from last patch.

Funny I was thinking of changing back to a pet sorc just for VMA...When I first started playing ESO (I only have 1 toon), I built a pet sorc but have changed the build for PvP. I've been reading pet sorc do well in VMA, what resources did you use to help you build one?
