Powered Vs. Nirnhoned?

For healers, what is the best trait on your resto staff? I got a Master's Resto and am looking to transmute the trait on it. This is mostly for PvP but I also PvE with this healer as well. Thoughts? Math?

Okay we had this talk once with all numbers involved. Nirn doesn't get close to powered or precise. Powered is greater the longer the fights and generally overall (pve). Precise is useful in short situations ( pvp) and on dps/healer hybrids.

Master restos are tricky though. It's kinda depends how you use it. My warden has infused cause rngess was kind and it works well with weakening glyph on it. My Templar will likely have powered or precise with spell damage when I finally decide.

I have charged and infused... and shock enchants.... but with the off balance changes I am not sure how good that is anymore.

Thank you. That does clear things up a bit.

If you are healing, your set up will be the same, it is the DPS that will be swapping to fire wall and fire enchants.

The long and the short of it op, is that powered is the best for making your heals bigger but does nothing for damage. Nirn will be around half the increase in healing as powered but will impact your damage as well. It is up to you to decide what you want.

Personally, I have defending on my temp healers master resto, because his heals are already big enough and I haven't had the stones to swap to infused, I would have mag return enchant on it though, 461 mag return every 2 seconds with wall up sounds pretty sweet. Back bar charged lightning with a lightning enchant of course.

I'd say it's not really a good choice for PvP since people don't really use springs there. For PvE I would recommend powered since it also amps your other heals over time and makes burst heals unnecessary. Nirnhoned is really not worth it unless your spell damage is unrealistically low. I made that calculation in a thread once and you had to have <1.8K spell damage (buffed) for nirnhoned to overtake powered. If you want to do some damage put your damaging skills on the destro bar, since they will benefit from those passives.

The spell damage is not the unrealistic part, the 10k mag is. But thank you.
