Players who traded shoulders should be punished

come on, those shoulders are so easy to obtain, and per transformation you can give a crap piece the trait you need, no need to trade that crap.
and anyway, there are more pcs from pledges that are tradeable per shop, yes there are!

and to ban ppl for selling something would be a big afront against the playerbase.
(and perhaps ban the buyers too?)

    an unnecessary thread imho

Come on zos..shut the game down to fix it and ban them like you did those who merely played the game and got free xp.

So, in your zeal to advocate for those who are currently suspended as "unjust punishment", you'd prefer to punish everyone else (the majority of whom ARE NOT guilty)?

This makes utterly no sense nor is it a rational way to operate an MMO.

These excessive ban threads are just being made by players that were suspended or banned for the IC XP exploit. They think they were "just playing the game" and nothing was weird about getting champion point after champion point in quick succession. Now they are going to call out any "exploit" because the world isn't fair!

Who says they aren’t being punished? ZOS doesn’t have to announce everything they do to fix accounts. They could have gone behind the scenes and done some clean-up.

They made a post on the XP bug due to the scale of the mess it made.

Didn't say they weren't but it's been an entire week to take advantage of it instead of just a couple hours. I just don't want Zos picking and choosing what they consider worth banning when an exploit is an exploit.

Except that is literally up to their discretion and not ours. I hate saying this, but if you don't like their rules, then I guess don't use the product. Otherwise, I would say practice some radical acceptance.

Boy we're really on a rampage to ban the entire player base arent we?

While I'm usually against banning those who committed a 'light crime' ingame, we have to admit that this is a more direct and intentional exploit than the XP-gain (and formerly, the vAS bug).

And yes, ZOS should announce any punishment (without naming), to make the community aware of the 'criminal' activities and the 'lawful' consequences.

ZOS doesn't care what you want. They make the game. They decide what is an exploit. They decide what is a bannable offense and what isn't. Their game, their rules. You agreed to this when you clicked "I Accept" on the TOS. It is up to their discretion, not what you want.

An exploit isn't an exploit. Some exploits have litttle effect, some are gamebreaking. It is kinda like how in the real world their are different punisments for different crime. Stealing a candybar is theft, but you probably won't get 25 to life, ya know?

Thanks to threads and posts like this, I find myself think less and less of the player base lately.

Eh, just the forum goers who are a rather small percentage of the entire population. :)

I think that announcing punishment (as you say without naming) is a great idea and one that would counter the "oh, they never do anything so I'm just going to go ahead and either complain that they don't do anything or just go ahead and exploit."

Em, isn't it a devs mistake? Why ban players? They saw opportunity, they used it. By the way, it's unsettling how much mistakes devs allow themselves recently. Hope, everything is alright in their team.

Finding a bug and reporting it isn't going to get you in trouble. Finding a bug and continuing to use said bug, otherwise know as exploiting it will get you in trouble. In the TOS you agreed that you would not exploit bugs. This really isn't hard to grasp. Find something weird, report it and stop doing it. Otherwise, you take that risk. No amount of sayin it is ZOS' fault will save anyone because everyone playing this game agreed not to exploit per the TOS.

I think op is being facetious, but it's sad that I can't say for sure

Doubtful. OP made his account five minutes before posting this topic. It's likely one of the banned ones.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious he's miffed about being suspended/banned.

If every last player of this game, myself included, is not permabanned by weeks end, I quit. Don't take this lightly ZOS. Please ban everyone right now. I'm not joking.

Thank you for the detailed answer, comrade. Now it sounds logical enough to me.
