Sometimes I keep the music on, sometimes I turn it off and put on my own music, sometimes I turn the game music off and just play the ESO soundtrack. It's also amazing to turn off game music and play Skyrim or Fable or Dragon Age music.

Then suddenly a mob comes along and ruins everything with the percussion heavy combat music that seems to kick out the regular soundtrack for a couple minutes even though your encounter with said mob only lasted like 2 light attacks long
Really guys, if the combat music wasn't so annoying compared to the rest of the soundtrack, maybe more people would listen to the game music instead of having their own music going in the background.
Now this certainly isn't true for all combat music, for instance boss fights... The music there usually feels spot on, and adds a degree of epicness to the encounter, however I kinda feel like random mobs out in the wild like the odd mudcrab or bandit shouldn't trigger it at all, it just ruins the feel. Like if there was a way to only have combat music play for boss fights, I would be all over that.
The game has a great soundtrack. Just wish I could hear it more often without the constant interruptions.
Already did because it's too loud for me to hear my mates on discord.
I like the music and enjoy the different soundtracks in each zone. The combat music serves as a warning system that something is going on nearby, especially in IC.
