How long have you spent in outfit creator?

Am i the only one who has spent a few hours trying to find the perfect outfit, only to finish and then start again. There is something wrong with me!

It's not about "how long" but "how much". I think I've already spent like 100k testing outfits... and I'm not done yet.

spent about 30 mins trying new outfits. Never "committed" the changes. I can't find anything that looks better than my merchant's costume.

Haha. I hadn't thought about that. What do you do? Create it run down the path and decide you don't like it, and run back?

I spent weeks after the announcement of Outfit system obtaining the motif pages i wanted and visualizing a look that fit my playstyle, personality and character back story. This research was facilitated almost exclusively by ESO Fashion .com

Due to this exceptional and foresighted preparation, I was able to narrow down my perfect outfit within 4 iterations:

5 -10 mins per character so far (on free slots). I need to expand my motif collection, but I wish some of the older sets, such as the racial ones, were retextured or updated somehow. The difference in quality between the older motifs and the newer ones stands out more to me with this outfit system.

I spent there like 5 minutes. Telvanni head, mercenaries robe, some shoes. And several clicks on randomize colors button.

Spent 4+ hours. Only made 1 outfit so far. Most of that time spent just messing around.

What gets me is, I've been saving up 1mill+ worth of motifs to sell after the update and ended up using most of them on my crafter instead of selling.

I have spent hours, too. But I keep leaving because of how expensive the gold prices are. I am hesitant to pull the trigger since I have long experience with normal armor dying and costume dying where I don't like how it looks during regular game play or find myself tiring of the look very quickly. I always feel like I am on verge of throwing away 15k to 25k of gold. And that it is the first of many times that I will throw lots of gold out the window as I work to perfect my look. I would test things out on PTS to be sure of what I was getting into, but there are so few dyes unlocked on PTS that everything looks like garbage.

On live? Probably 20-30 minutes tops. On PTS? 5-10 hours over the last couple weeks.

Pretty much the same for me, had to redo one from scratch it did not work out form behind

Will probably do some adjustments and also buy some more motifs.

On PTS: Several hours, creating the perfect outfits I wanted to use for my characters in various situaions.

On live: About 15 minutes, due to the ridiculous crown cost of a second slot.

20-30 min, making two outfits, before I realized that most of my gear is already crafted & how I want it; and the only thing I need from the system (letting me keep the visual of my rare-drop/non-motif chest while equipping something with better stats), it can't do.

And the rest of my characters wear costumes.

I've only just gotten time to play today but I've already spent an hour or so putting together an outfit for one character. But considering I'm mainly using racial styles, it's so absurdly expensive to dye outfits and I'm not that worried about having the best possible stats I may just craft the set I like instead of making an outfit.

I spent about 30-45 minutes and damn near 30k gold creating 1 outfit. And the f’ing thing didn’t turn out the same as the preview... I can’t afford to use this “system”, so it's definitely not for me.

Whoever all this gold is going to needs to install some new lighting at the outfit stations so I can see what my outfit is really gonna look like when finished.

Edit:
To clarify, I'm talking about dyes not looking the same, floating and clipping armor/weapons, etc.

I logged in completely determined to level a new character to 50 for the reward system.

Couple of days later I am 300k gold lighter and still have only done two three costumes.

No idea how long I have spent in the tailor, is it still 2018?

What is sad is how something looks great at the station, and then you commit and start to leave the station only to realize, it really doesn't look as good 'in person'... back to the station I go... again. *sigh*

Long enough to make one outfit I am happy with. Probably wont use the feature much in the future though, the gold cost is too expensive. I spent around 26000 gold and frankly its not worth it.

It wont change though, Zenimax needs some way to push s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶r̶s̶ people to purchase tokens instead of the insane gold cost.
