Unless people are magically paying for master writs with a craft cost of 2k per voucher, the purple vvard plans you keep listing at 100k aren't worth 100k. 50 vouchers, with a general ballpark of 1k per voucher, equals 50k per plan. Not sure how long it will be before you all get the memo, but at least let it be said that now that you've read this thread, you're not *ignorant* of the memo.

Have patience for now and don't impulse buy stuff, it'll no doubt go down over time. The prices are still going to be high for a little bit for a few reasons. For one thing, it's a day after the patch. These plans used to sell for hundreds of thousands each and it will take time for the prices to adjust down from availability. Second, because it's a gamble-box-style procurement, the prices are still going to remain a bit higher than expected, I'd wager, just because there's no guarantee that everything will actually be on the market at the same time. Drops might average out over time, but there's no doubt going to be periodic fluctuations. Finally, last thing I can think of right now, people are still going to charge more than just the writ value of the goods because they're looking to make a profit off of it. I don't know how much profit per piece they can make long-term (I'm sure some of the more-desirable items will flat out sell for more no matter what) but for now they're hitting the early adopter crowd for all it's worth.

First off, I'm on console so I might be getting this wrong - apologies if so!
I'm guessing it works like getting the purple and blue plans pre-patch; you pay a set price and get a random plan. You're guaranteed to get a plan but not necessarily that plan. So if that's the only one you want, you're better off paying 100k from a trader than what would probably be many multiples of 50wv. Especially as gold is so much easier to come by than vouchers.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're horribly overpriced (even at just the writ voucher cost) but I can understand the rationale behind that sort of pricing

In reality, an items market value is simply what someone else is prepared to pay for it, not the cost of materials that went into obtaining it.

I get most of my kutas in hireling mails, which do not cost me anything except 60 seconds to log into a character. That doesn't mean I can't sell them for 5k if someone is happy to pay that.

The exact same thing happens when new motifs drop on a patch. How is this behavior different?

Players will get the memo when the listing expires in 30 days ... and not when an armchair game economy expert says so.

This is not how it works, as another user rightly said it's not about costs for obtain them, it's about demand.

I've bought a lot yesterday perfectly knowing they were expensive right after the update , well in this case I don't give a damn about that, I wanted them NOW.

And that's exactly what I paid: the commodity to have them in the moment I wanted and not in a month or weeks when I could be interested to spend time in other activities more than housing (as often happened).

I spent well my gold because I won't think about it anymore, I'm done at last and I can craft NOW myself as I like, and decorate my houses as I wanted.

In one month I will be doing different things, the moment of joyful crafting and decorating for me is now, that's why the gold is gladly spent.

On a side note, the price aren't really that crazy at all and with the cost of a couple of them when they were truly expensive I almost bought all I was missing.

Be patient, it’s literally patch day and some people will be using outdated MM information. Also the seller is free to charge as they want, you have the choice to not buy it if you are not happy with the price.

I offloaded a bunch of dupes for 80-100k+ ea on patch day...why would I list it for half that? (My listings still being cheapest).

No an writ cost 1000 gold was down below 500 before the chest came for sale,
people are buying writs to buy storage chests.

Now you have the cost to create the item, this tend to add 500-700 more gold to the cost.

Remember writ marked has been pretty dead since the purple plans started costing 25 writs.

I love how people forget the cost in both time and money of research, not to mention motifs that requires to get 50 vouchers in any decent time. not to mention sheer luck to even get those writs in a first place. got forbid crafters make ANY kind of profit on their investment, oh no.

we cannot have that. break even is the best you can hope for. exactly WHY should i bother selling ANYTHING at break even price? when I made all the bloody effort to get those furnishing patterns in a first place while you sat on your ass waiting for them to show up?

Now the real annoying thing for me that I did Morrowind main quest on crafter on Saturday before the update for the achivement to unlock this funtion. While waiting for npc dialogue I stole an Pattern Indoril Rug, Vivec,
an item so rare i was not on the TCC web site.
Tried to sell it for 290K hoping some was unaware of the changes and thought it was an bargain.
It did not sell a month or two ago it would gone for over 500K.

Now its lots of them for sale current lowest price is 70K, it will not drop much for some time I think at least not until need for writs for storage chests has dried up.

It depends, but lots of time. I've been on the hunt for the apostle motifs for 3 weeks now, and have gotten 2 slots. It's about a demand for a product, and the supply available. Some people have so much gold, 50k might be a dent in the bank to them.
