Literally dozens, if not hundreds of containers already in the game, useable, lootable, with animations and different styles.

ZOS gives us 3 ugly boxes that look like they came out of Super Mario Bros. Kills immersion, and gives them an excuse to monetize them at the same time.

So much for being able to put our clothes in wardrobes and our reagents in jars. Go grind vouchers for cartoony boxes instead...

What's next guys? Gonna charge us 1500 crowns for outfit slots?

Gonna need screens to back that up. But I do agree that it's cheeky af when there are so many storage furnishings in the game already. And still no mannequins / weapon plaques?

While I agree it would have been nice to be able to use the wardrobes, chests, etc. that are already in our homes, I do like how they function.

Each chest is accessible from every home, so you can put items in one of them and pull them out from within another home. Also, you can fill the chest and then put it away, and the items stay stored in the chest. So, you can buy all 7 storage chests/coffers (the 8th one is ONLY AVAILABLE from the Level-up Advisor at level 18), and use them even in a free inn room. You can't have them all out at the same time, but you can utilize all 7/8 of them with only the 1 collectible furnishing slot available in an inn room (non-ESO+).

I personally don't have a problem with ZoS putting up ugly boxes and then selling nicer ones in their store. I'm guessing they will eventually sell every container in the game as storage at some point, since they recycle constantly.

If it becomes a crown crate exclusive without any store option I'll go berserk.

Cartony box in a cartony world ruins your immersion. Ok. Complaining that Zos gives a streamline version of house storage but wanted a convoluted version of housing storage. Ok. Oh, I get it. You are really mad that they did not retroactively give you storage for things that you want storage in but the stuff that you want storage in was never made for storage in the housing system in the first place. Sounds like a you problem.

You know... If you had taken a gander three weeks ago at the PTS sub forum you would've already known all this.

And yes, those of us who did bother to visit those parts of the forum, did bring this up. I personally noted on several threads about how stupid it is to have 4 large and 4 small storage units that all look exactly the same (re-colored argonian trunk for the large one, and a re-colored dunmer trunk for the small one) when you have tons of different coffers to choose from.

It's not like they are even new 3d models or anything. And the paint job on them... Garish to the extreme. They will look like crap in any of my abodes.

Patch days are funny, in that the forums are flooded with enraged people utterly astonished at all the nonsense ZOS includes in the latest patch. Next time, go visit the PTS forum and lodge your complaints and grievances before the crap ZOS has planned hits live.

If enough of us do so, then maybe at least some of the rubbish they try to push on to us will get averted.

DISCLAIMER: I do not actually believe that to be the case, but what can I do, am an optimist at heart and prone to dream about a better world.

Personally I dont want to have to buy/craft a billion different pieces of furniture to be able to use storage space, some generic box is enough for me...I already only visit my house once a month and am just not interested in any more than minimal furnishings for it. All my "furnishing" slots are taken up with architectural additions anyway.

The containers/coffers are extremely ugly and horribly done. The smaller one especially is such an eyesore I cringed in real life when I saw it.

Even if I were starved for storage, which I am not, I wouldn't dream of buying these garish things.

Seems like you have enough time to hang out on forums. All of this info, including screenshots of the trunks and just about everything else (like the abhorrent gold cost on outfits) was posted on the PTS forums. I didn't have time to test anything else except housing related stuff this PTS cycle, but I still had plenty of time to read about the upcoming changes before hand.

Some people want the DLC to be fresh and new, not read all the details on the PTS subforum. If they could isolate content topics from cosmetic comments, more people would likely participate.

Exactly my thoughts and wrote in the pts forum, obviously got completely ignored.

"Do the chests and coffers stand out sufficiently from other furnishings to be distinct?
Yes, even too much. No need to make them "out of place".

Do you have any other general feedback?
Thanks for putting storage in houses.

Select the Coffers styles among the various styles (redguard, nord, breton...) to fit any kind of house and don't be forced to hide the chests in a remote corner in the courtyard because that style just ruin the interior.
    More styles!"

EU players has to do something, was able to feed horses and get an quick look at the outfit system.

I think they wanted them to look recognizable.

Now that it looks like they delete bound stuff as in trial and dungeon gear if you delete an character is another issue
Grinding just make you go in circles.

I went to PTS, just long enough to see what I wanted to see. So, I'm not shocked. It took me longer to download the PTS (again) than it did to find out what I wanted to know. If you can't take a few minutes to check it out, then I'm not sure you really have that much room to complain. It's like not voting in an election then complaining about who won. ZOS does listen to the people who play on the PTS, and they try very hard to fix issues we find. However, they don't reveal everything on the PTS, especially the cost of items.

I was disappointed in that a house that was on the PTS this last time did not come out with this dlc. I was waiting for it!

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I honestly don't mind the storage chests lol. I was worried they would be too large and bulky, but the size is good, so I'm happy there. More variety is always nice, but I'll be honest, I'm ecstatic to have any sort of housing storage at all, and I was very pleased to see we could label them!
