Roaming pets and mounts

slackergirl
Apologies if this is a repeat thread. I saw several comments alluding to it, but no dedicated posts. Much like one can toggle lights on or off, I would love to see an "untack" option for mounts and a roam feature for pets. It would be bliss to see my horses and goats grazing together at Daggerfall Overtook, or my Senche-Tigers lounging in the sun at Sleek Creek, and guar wallowing in the swampy yard of the Ample Domicile. Cats and foxes wander around the game, so why can't the same AI settings make my Fennec Fox wander around Snugpod? A wild Senche-Tiger will see me come near and get up from his rock perch to attack me. Why can't my Sabre Cat mount see me come home and walk up to greet me? It would be extra neat if pets could have different personalities, like friendly or aloof. An Alik'r Dune-Hound following me or my visitors around would be extra special. Currently, only 6 animals standing at attention makes for a lousy ranch, farm, or zoo. It reminds me of this zoo I saw in China. It had only 1 animal.
It was a dog.
It was a shi-tzu.
Even if it was a crown extra for unlimited animals, like a purchasable "zookeeper" option, I would pay good money to see that. Similarly, a "collector" option to double house space may also be nice, but that's a topic for another thread.

I would love this. Other MMO's have done it in their instanced personal zones. It's not impossible.

I would love this, also! It would really make environments so much more realistic.
