New Armor Sets

So how will the new Dragon Bones sets (Jorvuld, Trappings, Doylemish) affect builds? Jorvuld's Guidance sounds great for healers when they use Aggressive Warhorn and all the buffs they give.

Invigoration is, basically, Warlock for Stam. Might lead to some weird sustain stam builds. I'm honestly not sure, because it doesn't actually do anything on its own, it just facilitates other builds.

Favor goes nowhere does nothing. There might be some application for this set, but, to be honest, I don't see it at all.

Thurvokun will be nasty in PvP. Not sure about PvE, but there may be some specific circumstances where it excels. That said, I'd only expect to see this in organized PvP. Against randos, there are more immediate ways to mess someone up.

Plague Slinger is hilarious in concept. Might actually be good as well. Just frequent enough to be a nice (if somewhat minor) DPS buff. I'm inclined to say there's already better things, but this might be useful. I take that back. On rereading it, the damage is high enough that it's a decent, DPS buff (around 3k), so you might see some real millage for this one. Particularly on StamKnights.

Doylemish is way too conditional. You might get some use out of it, but the payoff is way too low to justify a 5pc.

Zaan could be very nice. That said, it's a little... conflicted. It's designed for a Magicka melee build, but you might still see it pop up on some Stamina DPS builds, because that murder beam is very appealing.

Both light armor sets are the real winners in this pile. Jorvuld is crazy good for any healer that uses shields or applies buffs, so most of them. It won't stack with SPC's buff, fortunately, but this is going to be a top tier pick for healers.

Caluurion is a massive buff for Gankblades, but MagSorcs come out of this sitting very pretty as well. That said, this one is explicitly a PvP set only. In PvE you're adding less than 1.5k DPS, so the set isn't going to perform well there. But, in PvP where 10k damage up front can end your opponent, it's very good.

Alcast has a review of just about every aspect of the update, if not everything. AlcastHQ.com for all of his videos. It's a good thing to keep bookmarked, because he does extensive testing on both live and PTS (with big updates).

Alcast has a review of just about every aspect of the update, if not everything. AlcastHQ.com for all of his videos. It's a good thing to keep bookmarked, because he does extensive testing on both live and PTS (with big updates).

Yeah, I've got two of his drag bones builds favorited, but I wanted to hear from the community about this.
