The Shrike's Nocturnal Frock costume is available for a limited time on all platforms from February 1 to February 5, and costs 2,000 crowns.


Daedric Death Mask

Daedra Worshiper, do you dare wear a mask that strikes fear into the souls of ordinary mortals? Then the Daedric Death Mask is for you! For as is graven upon its metal horn bands in the dread script of Oblivion: FEAR ABIDES.

The Daedric Death Mask is available for a limited time on all platforms from February 1 to February 5, and costs 1,000 crowns.


DYE STAMPS
Sanguinary


The Sanguinary dye stamps are available on all platforms from February 1 to February 8 at 10am EST and cost from 50 to 100 crowns.

Edit: It isn't a 500 Crown blue light special, so it might dye well. Then again, maybe not.

I guess the "pay more for less" is the same in the fashion world of ESO as well. *mumbles something about ripped jeans*

Both great looking items but not sure I can bring myself to spend with those costs. The mask really depends on the preview when I look at it.

As always for those who do buy them please post some dye pics to let people know how they dye.

Ok... for me personally the Nocturnal costume is a disapointment!

I really liked the look of this for my nightblade so just bought it ... big mistake.

The image in the showcase looks elegant and Nocturnal'esque... the real thing just looks frumpy... especially the bottom half which looks wider. The sleeves are really baggy at the wrists as well which adds to the effect.

Also its just not the same lovely dark metalic ink blue colour as the pictures. The real one is duller and less bright blue.

It dyes badly. I have some blacks that are bright silver. What is usually bright orange on similar costumes looks a dull yellow.

I'm not a fan....

And for the first time I have genuine buyers remorse from getting something from the crownstore.

I'll preview them both, but unless they are real knockouts, 1k for hat and 2k for a frock seem a bit stiff.

I actually like the style of the hat a lot, but I got a few similar masks from reaper crates and don't really see the need to supplement them with another skeletal headpiece.

Wow, i was really looking forward for the costume but 2k? seriously? Its not that i dont have the crowns but honestly in my opinion that costume is not worth 2k so i am not going to buy it

Saving crowns for sparkle horse and pony (oh I do hope they sparkle!) but would like to see pics of how the costume dyes since so many costumes seem to take dye in unexpected manners.

I see they're makin bank off people's desire for skin.

You cant dye the gold neck trim, and the material looks like shiny rubber. But it looks nice on a mage.

Above, someone said that the gold could not be colored.

In the preview, the hood is not hidden by Hide Helmet. There is some weirdness under the arms. It is supposed to be skin, but the body is deformed there when hands-on-hips is used.

I am waiting to see some dye pictures from people not using a skin/tattoo overlays so that the costume can be seen better, but this is not a 2000 Crown costume. It needs to be fixed. Probably never happen.

Edit: Saw an undyed picture on Twitter with no hood, so hide helmet does work with it.

What a disappointment. I was considering straight buyin crowns which i never do to get this since my sub doesn't renew til the day after it leaves.... now, no way. Are you kidding me? 2k crowns? The more "expensive" costumes have been 1k. So you up this one another thousand? Hype has faded into disappointment. Its not even that nice in game, not gonna pay you more money for a product that doesn't even meet a 2k standard. Get outta here with that Zos.

PSA to everyone who is complaining about the crown store items and their cost: you don't have to buy them.

The market will dictate what the prices are. If enough people feel the same way as you, then ZOS *will* see the results, directly in the form of numbers. However, if they are making enough from their items, then you should just accept the fact that NOT EVERYONE feels the same way about them as you. Plenty of people really enjoy these cosmetics, and that is a fact that should be painfully obvious since ZOS keeps making them and pricing them accordingly.

Just accept that not everything is tailor made for you in mind. There are millions of people who play this game and they all like different things, and more importantly, they all value them differently.

I disagree with your Public Service Announcement.

Not with your "analysis", but with the seemingly implied conclusion to not provide feedback, basically "shut up if you don't like it".

So yeah, I will acknowledge trends over time the way I perceive them and will continue to do so if I see fit in a hopefully constrictive manner (sometimes tongue in cheek).

However it is obviously your right to remain quiet if you see things you don't like and I respect that.

Whether or not feedback on forums in general has a big impact vs the bean counting and spreadsheets in the background is a different story

After actually seeing this outfit in game, yikes...the fitting and texture is quite horrible, IMO. It is very frumpy-looking, and the windows on the side of the outfit under the arms look like stickers.

The side of the outfit bugs me, too. I am really tolerant of oddities in textures, but for some reason, this one bugs me.

Still waiting to see some dye examples without skins/tattoos, before making final decisions.

Not getting the frock. Shame, as I was looking forward to it after seeing the data mined picture.

But 1. to me 2000 crowns is just too high a price for a single costume, even with my saved up ESO+ crowns
and 2. it doesn't look nearly as good in-game as it does in the picture, more like an untidy, crumpled bathrobe than an elegant frock
